Heres my PC specs as of now, next week on Thursday i'm getting my new graphics card, its an Geforce 7950GT overclocked 512mb GDDR3 PCI-E.

My current specs for my 6-7 yr. Old PC
1.8 Ghz P4
256 MB RAM
ATI 9600 Radeon 64 MB
Dead & Full 80 GB HDD < Yes it is dying it has started ticking and humming louder only the 3rd HDD

I am planning to get new PC when the HDD dies. I hope to convince parents to do so anyway. I just gotta keep cost within reason.
Core 2 QX6700 (2.66 Ghz)
2 GB DDR 2 800 Mhz RAM
ATI 2900 or whatever their DX10 card is called.
320 GB HDD
maybe Killer NIC thing if it reduces lag like it says from Bigfoot Networks.
maybe AGEIA Physx Card if I find I need it.

You got the best processor and good enough ram, I suggest getting a new graphics card to replace that X1550. Get a Geforce 8800 as its the best graphics card out there.

Waiting to upgrade to the next Nvidia cards in Nov. The 8800 GTX totally pwns DX9 but still struggle with DX10 games.

When me & my mate was putting it all together he said  the system was a bit overkill, i told him crap & to get over it, lol,  but said nothing while he was playing bioshock & world of confict on my system, so much for his overkill statment, lol. So guys what ya think was my mate correct...
