Valkyria Chronicles. that demo convinced me that the game was awesome. theres too many demos tho that convince me that the game is crap. thats why i love this gen and their demo downloads.

theres a demo for valkyria chronicles? i need to try that my friend keeps bugging me to buy that game... Edit: on topic: i bought skate based on the demo. Thats it.

Do it and play the level they let you play, and then play the skirmish mode. It set me off and It was one of my better purchases of the year...granted I only really have one regretful purchase and that was gta4.

As a matter of fact no. Since i've had my PS3, demo's have only persuaded me otherwise, until the FEAR 2 demo I played recently. That one I am definitely buying. However, every beta I have participated in, I did purchase the game (which is only LBP, and R2)

Interesting thread....
The only demo that convinced me of buying the game was, MLB The Show 08. Thank God I played it because I was considering MLB2K.
Other demos have made me want the game even more, like HS and Uncharted.... However, those demos didn't convinced me perse, because I was planning on buying those 2 games nonetheless.
IMO demos do a better job at reasuring which games sucks.

Skate demo made me buy the game and Skate 2 is also making me buy the game...But i wish there was a demo for the first F.E.A.R. bcuz i wasted my money on that POS

Well, I was going to buy Uncharted anyway but it reinforced my idea of how good I thought it was going to be. The Burnout Paradise demo made me buy that as well.
It has also helped me not buy games that I was curious about such as Valkyria Chronicles (not my type of game but I was curious) and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
Either way it helps.

Oh, I forgot MLB 08 The Show. Also, Heavenly Sword, but I never actually bought it  I was going to, but I didn't have money, and I just never got around to it. Crap, I forgot about Motorstorm as well. R&C had a good demo, but I always buy Insomniac games no matter what.
