I cant believe how good Elfen Lief was

I just cant get enough of it and it made me sad there is no second and third season

anyways whoever have yet to watch this Anime you must do so now(when you get the time)
and is only 13 eps, but all eps are full of blood,tears, and happiness

anyone ever watched 'Legend of the Galactic Heroes'?

its a bit old but I have found it really good, for those who like sci-fi/space opera's its a must watch

Within the Galactic Empire, based on 19th century Prussia, an ambitious military genius, Reinhard von Müsel, is rising to power. He is driven by the desire to free his sister Annerose, who was taken by the Kaiser as a concubine. Later, he wants not only to end the corrupt Goldenbaum dynasty but also to defeat the Free Planets Alliance and to unify the whole galaxy under his rule.

In the Free Planets Alliance is another genius, Yang Wen-li. He originally aspired to become a historian, and joined the military only because he needed money for tuition. He was rapidly promoted to an admiral because of his demonstrated excellence in military strategy. He becomes the archrival of Reinhard, though they highly respect one another.
As a historian, Yang often narrates the rich history of his world and comments on it. One of his famous quotes is: "There are few wars between good and evil; most are between one good and another good."

Besides the two main heroes, the story is full of vivid characters and intricate politics. All types of characters, from high nobility, admirals and politicians, to common soldiers and farmers, are interwoven into the story. There is a third neutral power nominally attached to the Galactic Empire called the Phezzan Dominion, a planet-state (city-state on a galactic scale) which trades with both warring powers. There is also a Terraism cult, which claims that humans should go back to Earth, gaining popularity throughout the galaxy. The story frequently switches away from the main heroes to the Unknown Soldier fighting for his life on the battlefield.

I am currently watching Gundam Seed until the second series of Gundam 00 is released in October.

Gundam 00 is the best series ever

yeah, i read that one thread you made where people suggested Elfen Lied so i downloaded it and watch it and it's awesome. i can relate with Lucy a lot.
i'm going to hunt down the dvd set to buy it or hope it comes out on blu-ray

I was actually EXTREMELY Impressed with Gundam 00 specially after the crapfest that was Gundam Seed Destiny, I find it mind blowing how the quality of Gundam 00 went from 0 to 60 so fast and how MASSIVELY the level of complexity escalated as the ending approached with some of the most EPIC moments in the Gundam universe

I also found the little sneak peak into season 2 mind destroying and jaw drooping XD

I watch all hundred and so eps. It's a nice show. The strategic battle were fun. There are some side series and movies I still have to watch.

Don't really know why, But I never really liked elfen lied, I think everyone already knows
I love gore and blood .....but ELs story just didn't get to me, Part of it was alill too predictable....
Gave me the same feeling when i watched chobits...to make up for the story they add alil sexy scenes...I liked the ending tho :O

hey, thanks for the info, i'll look into reading the manga then.
i'm not a very hardcore anime fanatic, but i do enjoy a lot of them.
i'll consult my otaku friend more often to find out what other great anime there is out there since we have the same interest in a lot of things like games, music, storylines and plots and stuff.

is to late to catch up with Naruto as it has so many eps, maybe after they stop making them ill keep watching them.

for now im just having fun with the games. NUN3 is nice

I just re-watched Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door and Perfect Blue, with my brother, who does not even like anime in the least.

Those are some of my all-time favs.

You liked Speed Grapher???

I dont know I guess it just didnt appeal to me! I watched like the firs 5 episodes and had to call it quits
