I should revise my comments to state most to all people wearing tights as pants look like douches.

"Most to all people wearing tights as pants look like douches. Tights are not pants; not to be worn on their own. You are not an American Apparel employee who's sold their soul."

The room was $25. All 3 dudes got $1 back so theres $3. So thats $28. Plus the bell boys $2. Thats $30. I don't see the big deal. Pretty simple in my opinion. I don't know where $27 came from.

LJW, playing the piano always gets rid of my headache, unless it's hangover-related.  Aleve always helps me regardless, since there's no alcohol warning on the bottle   Hopefully you're better by the time me or someone else can find another Fun Friday piece.

Thank you for the concern, Dub. I will look up some Aleve from the chemist, but I think my headadche should subside tomorrow. As you can see, it's not bad enough that I can't use a computer screen

Fun Friday time!  (I missed last Friday  )

Here's a puzzle/riddle/whatever to jog your mind:

Imagine an arrow in flight, toward a target. For the arrow to reach the target, the arrow must first travel half of the overall distance from the starting point to the target. Next, the arrow must travel half of the remaining distance.

For example, if the starting distance was 10m, the arrow first travels 5m, then 2.5m.

If you extend this concept further, you can imagine the resulting distances getting smaller and smaller. Will the arrow ever reach the target?

I got an answer for the first one. It says that the 3 men paid 9 dollars but in the riddle it says they paid 10 so it all worked out to each of them getting an extra dollar and the bell boy getting 2.

Given the concept presented, one might conclude that the arrow will never reach the target but real-world experience dictates that it eventually will.

Nope. This is an idea from chaos theory no?

The answer has to do w/ mathematical infinite series.

The sum of an infinite series can be a finite number. Thus, 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + ... = 1, and the arrow hits the target.

There's a flaw from this. It can at most be 1, but will never ever be 1.
Even if you take the biggest calculator and keep dividing n/2 over and over, you'll never reach 0. because what divided by what will equal 0.

I actually agree w/ you, which is why I always had an issue w/ infinite series.  I myself have always thought of it as getting so small that it gets rounded, but I don't even think that's right.  Regardless, the statement in the file attachment is true:
