microsoft will **** over its users with prices like it usually does! release it as downloadable, then put it out on hard copy with a little more. the prime example being making everyone pay more for cod4 maps just because you get them 20days earlier.... that was an absoute joke, how much do you think theyll make outta their customers there?

i do like the way microsoft always revert to putting it on hard disk when they constatly say 'DLC' is the future! lol

yeah but sony WANT people to buy on blu-ray.... microsoft dont, they havent got a next gen format now HD has fallen through! MS need DLC to work.... thats there BIG BIG bet they keep goin on about..... and theyre contradicting it, just to make a little more money!

Thats a full game. How can you compare a full game to DLC. The most i see happening is a special edition GTA4 including the DLC that msoft paid for. You are placing too much faith in Msoft seriously. Them releasing a hard copy of that DLC is a LOOONG shot. 1st off they don't own the GTA ip so that will be rockstars decision. 2nd of all the multiplayer map pack was released on disc because online gaming isn't what it is today. Common try to think with some common sense.

Arcade unit has no hard drive so you cannot enjoy DLC with an arcade unit end of story. DLC isn't as big as you might think, so those buying arcade units aren't going to care.

My point in this thread still stands. No matter how much msoft flaunts that 360 logo at the end of the commercial, sony will still gain the bigger hardware boost off of GTA4. Sony has been selling about 100,000 a week in UK. While 360 has already settle d back down to the 60's despite the "going for the throat" price cut.

MS needs to advertise a bit more than Sony because of GTA/PS recognition and also to try to make money back from the $50M they paid to get GTA on the 360+DLC.
Will the ads work that only show it as Xbox? Maybe. But once people walk into a store it's not hard to see that the game is multi-platform because the ads for both are everywhere.
the people who already own a console will get it for their console but the people on the fence will buy the console with the most games they want past & future.
nobody buys a console for just ONE game. if they do they're idiots.

and about Warhawk. you fail and i shouldn't have to explain why. Sony never boast the DLC is the future and try to push it. They were pushing Blu-ray

where in the world are you getting these figures from?

VGCHARTZ? You do know VGCHARTZ pulls numbers completly out of their ass. They are not a reliable source of information at all (it baffles me how the weekly "sales numbers" get approved as news)

Ok scrap the vgchartz figures bottom line is ps3 has been outselling 360 in the UK by a significantly wide margin. Chart track can confirm that for you if you want. Msoft logo at the end of a GTA4 commercial isn't going to stop someone who played GTA on ps2 from playing it again on ps3.

GTA got it's legs from the PC with GTA, GTA London, and one of my all time favorites GTA2. I don't remember any of them coming out on the PS or PS2. I could be wrong though.

Since when does any gamer walk into a gaming store and doesn't check out everything thats out for the systems they own? You are going to know if came out for your system anyway unless they are sold out. lol

also you guys do know that there are atleast 2 GTA bundles for the 360 in europe, Some dude on VGchartz put them up

GTA IV, I'm getting it for my 360 instead of PS3 but then again its up to the person to choose.

Grand Theft Auto, the first title in the GTA series was released for DOS, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation in 1997/1998.[5] The game is set in three different fictional cities, Liberty City, San Andreas, and Vice City. A reduced Game Boy Color port was later released, and subsequently two expansion packs were offered, set in 1960's London.

Ok, I guess I was partially wrong. It did come out for the PS1 but it was more widely known for the DOS an Windows versions. I recently just repurchased the box set of 1, London and 2 for I think $7.00.

chart track officials have said their sales are "neck and neck"

I have news for you; if PS3 sales are neck and neck with 360; then it will never overtake the 360.
