Sorry I have to go off topic for a sec.

But I just realized I'm back to 5 bubbles. From two comments that combined had 50 disagrees.

Who said Insomniac had a great track record?

Rachet and Resistance were good games, I expect Resistance 2 to be good, plus a little extra.

I'm not ruling it out, but I find the the comparisons to Gears and Resistance quite laughable. Gears pretty much did everything better than Resistance did.

I don't even have high expectations for Gears of War 2 either.

the reason I find such comparisions laughable is because the two games are very different- both online and off

im not going to argue that Gears is marginally better (although Resistance is a very enjoyable shooter), but seriously- can't people compare Resistance to at least Halo....... if not nothing at all

I understand why people compare GT to Forza, I understand why people compare Haze to Halo, but the Resistance vs Gears fiasco just plain puzzles me

apart from the similar sort of story, they are completely different games

Because their idiots or fanboys of another console,Insomniac has delivered with Resistance:Fall Of Man and Ratchet & Clank:Future Tools Of Destruction both awesome next-gen games on the PS3.

for a developer to create highly solid games each year is impressive. not many developers can handle that kind of work.

People aren't doubting insomniac; they're overestimating them.

Insomniac is a SOLID games company that produces SOLID games. But everyone is expecting resistance 2 to be AAA; and - Im sorry, but that probably wont be the case given the developers track record. No-ones doubting them; its just some people are being realistic.

No i don't i had it but traded it in. Didn't really like it but a lot of my friends have it and love it so i might give it another shot sometime. Yea i know i am in that lame minority who don't like cod4 but i just find it a little boring. Its just spawn and shoot spawn and shoot. gets old

Well realistically i am not expecting resistance 2 to be anything less than a solid game. Same way i expect gears to be a solid game. Until proven otherwise with actual gameplay, both games are in the same boat. Every 360 fan praises gears like its golden crack and yes it is a great game but a great game 2 yrs ago. I haven't seen or heard anything to make me believe gears 2 will be better than gears 1. But until proven otherwise, GoW2 and R2 are in the exact same boat.
