ORIGINAL: DrPirate 2. Resistance 2 is a flagship online title because it'll showcase the breadth of the PlayStation Network unlike any game before it. End of story. People lining up to buy a game has nothing to do with how good the game is. Marketing does that. There's no arguing this, you can't make a counter-point. You won't change my mind so don't even attempt it. It doesn't matter what it shows necessarily. The amount of sales it will garner for the PS3 pale heavily in comparison to real flagship titles. That is my only point and it would be very irrational to argue against - unless anyone believes it can par up with a real flagship title like MGS4. I don't care if I can't change your point, but I'll say this. You clearly look at it differently. I don't think it will sell PS3s, and I don't believe in genre specific flagship titles, which means we cannot really argue this with each other. For me, it's a flagship or it isn't, it's not "this type" flagship or "that type" flagship, including online play. What ultimately doesn't matter is that Sony is still putting enormous resources behind this game, just like they are Killzone 2. In that aspect, Killzone 2 is also a flagship title. Any game can sell gangbusters if there's enough marketing hype around it. Assassin's Creed didn't sell that many copies (Something like 4 million units?) Because it was onnovating or doing anything correctly, people just thought the commercials looked "Effing awesome".
