alright finally just did it and downloading the darn thing.  Took 2 hours  then it had an update

I'm not big into racing games what-so-ever that's why it took me so long but anyway my first purchase went to the Mini Cooper S cuz I love the Cooper!   and they do have the optional settings for real beginners aka noobs and that helps out a lot on the enjoyment level.

The multiple views work well even though I go with the tried and true see the car viewpoint I thought the cockpit view was sweet and it had the look it should.  Fun stuff for sure

Yea the see the car view is easier over all but if you are going for the simulation feel you have to go for the in the car.

The way it is looking if they add damage, weather effects and improve the visuals steady the frame rate(even if i don't notice anything) improve details on the tracks, possibly add bikes e.t.c. there is no doubt in my mind it will reign supreme as greatest racing game of all time

GT: P is a good game. The best part is the driving physics. They are spot on. The visuals could be better. Grass and hills have no texture. They look like they were painted a flat green. The dash especially in tunnels looks flat too. It would have been nice to see glass over the instrument panel. Not being able to toglle the HUD on and off is absurb. Hopefully a patch will fix this.

The game is fuller than a demo but not quite a complete game. It is still well worth the $40 price.

GT5 has the best grass imo. Hills look like crap but the grass on the tracks are better than forza at least. Forza grass looks like PES2008 grass

When I am not playing GT5P I am think about playing it. Most fun I have had with a racer this gen. I ordered a Logitech G25 wheel and Evolution chair because of this game. Simply incredible. I can't wait for the full version. It is going to feel like forever waiting for it to get here.

I had Forza 2. It feels like less of a game than GTP. Besides in Forza to you are always fighting the car trying to make it do what you want. In GTP like in all GT games, they nailed the drtiving physics.

the game is amazing. a constant 60fps is great, the cockpit views are excellent. only real problem is online, where retards just crash into you and recieve almost no penalty, and when someone spins out of control the game goes all weird and you can't tell where they are and when you get up close to them you hit them and get a penalty. i mean come on the guy is spinning all over the track and i get a penalty for him getting in my way? also they have no way to party up with your buddies or anything which is disapointing mic support would be nice. and my last gripe with the game is when somebody drives into the dirt/sand it looks super jaggy. other wise awesome game.

It's great, just lacks the depth of a full GT game...so im already back to GT4.

I just got the game and I'm driving a Dodge Viper. You just find the car and track you like and build up credits. The Viper is not hard to control either. The cars don't constantly wipe out like in the Forza series.

Try driving the corvette on profrssional physics. Without some strong traction control the car spins out more times than a rap stars rims

I personally don't prefer racing simulators but, my friend is getting it so I will just borrow it from him and try it out.
