Just because a post is not fit for the gamer zone it does not mean you need to pollute the gamer zone with even more open zone garbage. Remember it's suppose to be a safer zone meaning there is NEVER a reason to insult other members, it's pointless. Take this issue to whomever you please but read the code of conduct before you post next time.

I wont even bother with it. However if you consider the Disagree phantom and all his other accounts as a "Member", then there is a problem there and does show  lack of judgment on your part, sorry....

I called him a loser,  and I will take even 5 more bubbles and a permanent ban to stand by my principals of calling him out. We tolerate too much crap on this site and I'll just keep on doing my thing, in the end I am on N4G's side and love the site, I know this, that is all that matters.

Call him out thats fine. Why do you feel the need to bad mouth them though there is never a reason for it.

As a mod you should just stand your ground and not reply anymore. I said I would take the ban, the reasons why  I decided to bad mouth him are my own. I called that a slip/error/mistake, whatever you want to call it, it's this thing humans do....

I was hoping for a little understanding from the mods on this considering I am not a that bad of guy on this site, I was wrong.

Man, if you're really that upset, you may be able to, if you're convincing enough, to PM one of the Admins about questionable actions of a moderator (I'm considering doing this, too, just to see what'll happen). Make sure they know your situation and what led to the ban to begin with, then describe your case (maturely) and why the punishment doesn't fit the crime (the ban thing I may agree may be standard, but the bubble thing, last I checked, wasn't and can fluctuate depending on how serious the crime may be and up to the mods, I have observed). Also, describe the nature of the behavior that the moderator is showing to the situation (is he being mature and throughly telling you what his opinion was in a respectable manner or acting like an **** that is scolding you for questioning anything he does). Decribe the entire situation to the highest up you can get to, and make sure it's thurough. I'm sure that if you get convincing enough, I'm sure you'll get SOMEONE'S attention.

I am merely trying to explain to you and so that perhaps other people will have a better understanding of what to do when there are members they think should not be allowed in the GZ so that situations like this can be avoided in the future. I don't see how I am not standing my ground, I feel that the punishments handed out are fine and I do my best to clean up the GZ just as ever other mod does.

What do you expect for him to DO, then, man? Some of these people continuously bitch and bitch and bitch if you ignore them, and then dare you to go further if you decide to call them out. Either way, you end up getting ****ed by them.

And again, no one exactly knows why the harsh bubble crack was necessary.

Maybe we should all start acting like the "idiots" that are populating the Gamer Zone. Oh, wait, we can't, because we don't think the 360 is the best system on the ****ing planet just yet.

I expect him to go through official channels to resolve the problems. Reporting, PMing a mod, and the like will have the member dealt with. For some reason he feels insulting them over the internet really shows them something and would teach them to not post in the GZ. On the other hand, and i'm sure other mods would agree, that doing this only leads to polluting the GZ with garbage that should not be there to begin with.

But that is it! That goes into the heart of the entire problem about this ordeal. When it is reported for certain people, NOTHING EVER ****ING HAPPENS TO THEM!! It is never truly knowing that anything will ever happen to them, or that anything will ever ****ing change about it. How are all of these people (who I am sure have gotten reported SEVERAL times because they are just too THERE to miss and too THERE for anyone to NOT take enough offense) able to continue on with calling others retards, ****s, whatever. Hell, I was reading that someone was insulting others by calling them niggers and **** like that (HOPEFULLY whoever was doing THAT got banned). That is something that you obviously are not doing or there wouldn't be a feeling that they could get away with it.

I feel the need to be Human and make mistakes. As a mod you should tap into  feelings of compassion and understanding when the time is right imho. However that is just me. Guidelines are guidelines right? I will take the ban and the bubbles, but I won't agree with that as a penalty.

I will be leaving this thread now however I just want this place to be fair, I like this site and just want it to become better. Thank you for your understanding.

I imagine it would be counted as spam and how long is this ban?

I have no idea why i was banned but i definitely feel it was unjust. I stopped commenting for a while and i was just getting back into my commenting groove only to be banned

Here is the comment i made and it was in relation to Splinter cell conviction delay

The delay station strikes again...oh wait never mind

And i got banned for that.

I can't believe anyone can take offense to that lol

Delaystation is a word which trolls or fanboys would use to stir up the other side and create a flamewar or flamebaiting as I call it. I#ll have a check to see how long the ban is and see the previous bans given against your name.

Hey Sonarus, maybe it would be a good idea to stop putting negative comments in every single Splinter Cell thread you get your hands on.

Hello, this is my first time posting in the forums. Usually I just stick to the main site... but within the last few hours I was banned from the Gamer Zone. I'm just posting to inquire as to how long my ban is for. And I would like to know if anyone could tell me the EXACT reason I was banned. I did make a mistake with some words in the comment that got me banned. It was deleted by a moderator but I did use the word 'pr**k' in that particular comment. It was to describe Dan Mattrick and not an insult to any other member on N4G. I do very much apologize for that. I was unaware that we couldn't use that word. I assumed any words that were prohibited would be blocked when you post your comment. I have since read the specific rules for the Gamer Zone and now understand that 'xbot' and 'sony droid' are prohibited as well. Again I wasn't aware of this do to many members actually using those same words in the gamer zone. Also while I did say 'xbot' it was not in refference to any particular member. My exact words were directed again at Don Mattrick of Microsoft and they were "this guy is worse than some xboys at N4G. I know my ignorance of those rules is not a good excuse, but I have always tried to behave myself in a civilized manner. Once again I apologize for my behavior and I shall watch myself more closely from now on. I know it may not be possible to have the ban lifted but I would be satisfied if only I could find out how long my ban from that zone shall last.

Thank you for you time in advance!

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see the extra information below when I try to post in the gamer zone. That clears things up. Though I honestly was not aware 'xbot' wasn't allowed in the gamer zone. I mean, like I said I didn't even use it in refference to another specific member. I see it so much on here I just thought it was the usual lingo. I'm not saying you mods aren't doing your job or anything like that... but I totally thought it was aloud as long as you weren't insulting any other members. Sorry for the mistake though. Just sucks because I really enjoy contributing to the discussions here and I generally don't like hanging out in the open zone because things are just too crazy there. Heck, I even advertise n4g.com anytime I'm on Metal Gear Online! It won't happen again but I wish you'd give out a warning in some cases instead of just an instant ban. If you were to review my comments I think you'd see I'm not someone who causes trouble.

lol i can't help it. But seriously what i said wasn't negative. Nobody realistically expected the game this yr. The delay was no surprise. I was trying to be funny so i cracked a joke at and apparently it pissed someone off because all the people after me commented. I don't like being banned especially when i don't deserve it

Instead of competing with Halo and Call of Duty, they ended up competing with Lair and Heavenly Sword for worst game this generation.

Hopefully they don't waste any more time and money making PS3 exclusives. Downgrading graphics and framerate to get it running on the PS3 doesn't make sense.

Look at the type of comment that the mods let fly in the gamer zone but when i say SC delay is no fault of delay station i get banned from gamerzone. Can't tell me mods didn't see that either because a few comments down you see comment deleted by mod.

I was unfairly banned...looks like i'm the new toughName

I didn't say it! You did!

...but if this was any other thread you would probably get a forum ban eh? Your ban seemed more like a joke...yes they don't take those well.

I have also been banned (again) and I lost 2 bubbles at the same time. I'm thinking the mods are (finally) cracking down and trying some new tactics. I don't think my ban was unfair...I just hope they realize that the treatment they give me is hopefully applied to every member. [I am watching what I am saying]

Last I checked Breakfast was also banned. Lol who's left?!
