I call FUD.  There are already more casual gamers than "hardcore" gamers and I honestly think it's always been that way.

Honestly, if Hardcore gaming is so feeble that Nintendo can kill it in one generation, then it deserves to die.

But really that'd be blind analysis. They should be screaming at the PS2 for actually daring to allow Guitar Hero on their platform and port DDR. Those two games on that platform (and it's subsequent 120 million sales) have done more to create the casual juggernaut than Nintendo has even dreamed of doing.
