Status: offline 		Maybe it's just harder for them to make the bluray read and load data at the same time to 8 cores that the PS3 has...Developers say the xbox is like working with a pc, so it's perfect.  Getting it to work well with the PS3 I bet has added costs, and they believed it could still sell.  Remember it's about money with all these big devs.

Why else would they make a 5 gig install on devil may cry and lost planet. I mean come on! its lost planet! They didnt have to do that.

That would have been a good excuse in 2006 but i think by now devs have learned how to develop on the ps3. If not they need to go back to college.

Status: online 		Well a good chunk of non Capcom games have instals on them too.  Are they trying to get Sony to fail?  In fact I think GT5P the disc version requires an instal.  Is Sony themselves trying to fail the PS3?!

edit: Hot Shots Golf has an instal on that and it's a Sony studio... uh-oh...

Status: offline 		Not necessarilly. Since i'm not a Dev and hate programming I can't soeak for them but they have been working on the 360 longer, that you can't deny. There are some developers who have learned how to make better use of the PS3 such as Insomniac but most of them aren't there yet. Now that being said the next game they make for the PS3 should be optimized as they should have enough experience with the system now as more and more dev's are making better use of the PS3.

No. Thats an unfinished game so of course it will have an install time.
