I just can't wait to play with my own teammates, it's fun but I know a whole lot of fun could be had if people were you know. ..more organized. Everyone just rushes out as soon as the game starts without syncing their SOP. The last game I was in, everyone synced and it was a WHOLE lot easier to tell what was happening and who needed help.

Also I love CQC'ing people and injecting them but usually someone comes and caps the dude while I have him in a chokehold so I only got to do it once. Oh and there's another tactic I use but I'm not saying because I'll be playing against some of you soon :D

In any case, this iteration of MGO has so far surpassed my expectations. I played it with MGS3 and MGPO and while it was fun for a bit, they didn't have staying power for me. I think I'll be spending some time with this one though after MGS4 ships.

Skerj, you might be the one to have to start the Crossfire clan. Whoever gets five hours in and makes it to level two first needs to. That's the requirement to start one. I won't be able to because I won't be back on until much later tonight. We just need to get it started to get a little more organized and get everyone playing together. I'm also going to invite some other players because the clan support goes up to 32.

By the way, I will not steal your kills when you are CQC'ing. I saw a couple of people do that while I was playing and it's pretty low. However, I did save a teammate by killing the guy who was CQC'ing him. Did I even get a thank you? No, not even.

The auto aim sucks any fun it might of been right out of the game add the craptastic menu system and the fact that you get more gimped weapons choices every time you loose and its reason ennough to cancel my preorder.

I'll take it you've been losing a lot of matches online.

That was the best suggestion I've heard in weeks.

Here's a problem I really noticed while playing. The two button requirement for shooting is kind of a waste. The only reason I say this is because you've got square solely dedicated to switching between auto-aim on and off. That should be a setting either decided by the room you're playing in or the player themself.

The only reason I can imagine it takes two buttons to shoot is so that you can switch out of first and third person.

Here's my idea

The target reticle should be constant and not require a button press to bring up. This is the only way this configuration would work. Also, I haven't seen any reason whatsoever as to why the reticle should ever disappear.

L2 and R2-Just fine (same)
L1-Enter first person (changed)
R1-Fire (changed in the respect that you don't need to hold down L1 to shoot)
Triangle-SOP, sync with teammates (same)
Square-CQC (changed)
Circle-Same
X- Jump, prone, crouch (same)

Yeah same here. I'm at work now and a little bit after work I'm going out with a friend I just met so I cant get online and put forth the time in MGO today. Tomorrow will be a little different.

meh its not bout winning for me I mean you know how much i got pawned when i started playing warhawk but it didnt matter cause it was fun. Sure the auto aim sucked but that game made up for it in spades with the vehicles and massive maps.
This is just another dumbed down war game for the kiddies. Look I have all my stats maxed out cause i have no life but ill pawn you newb... Its a joke imo at least in warhawk everyone gets the same skills so a newb starts with all the same perks a pro gets other than experience.
Nope konamie ca go to hell with this one not even gonna buy msg since a 9/h game is only worth a rental tops.

Now back to waiting for GTA4

ps my opinion do not reflect those of my clanmates

I'm going to think of what you're missing out on when I'm playing MGS4 in June, and let out a hearty laugh. Ho ho ho.

Seriously, MGS4 isn't the sort of game you should be passing on.

Very addictive. People go out mindlessly though and dont stay close - probably will start getting more tactical after everyone gets used to it.

Graphics are nice but not WOW.

Music is really good but the screaming when you die is SO annoying. All you need is an eugh or aagh like warhawk.

Yeah, the death scream is pretty annoying. Does anyone know exactly how we are supposed to provide feedback for this beta? I've already got a pretty solid list of ways it could be made a little better in my opinion.

I think the characters need to be a bit faster running or have a sprint button. I understand about the tactical element of running speed and think it is a good idea but it feels pretty sluggish.

Lol thanks for pinning it but you can't stop the inevitable wave of random MGO threads

Anyway i lost woefully my first couple of matches i was like 3rd to the last in my first four matches. At first the slowness is really annoying but after a while you get used to it. The controls are also incredibly complex. It took me forever to figure out fps view. They should try to simplify it more. Not having a button for grenades is really annoying as well. Over all the game is pretty darn solid. I finally got better and i have actually won a couple of matches now. I'm going to try to level up and get my 5hrs of play time so i can create the clan.

So overall impressions the more you play it the more you love it

The grenades are my biggest beef, since it's 2 buttons to throw one AFTER selecting them. That works in an offline game but not against other people.

Oh and Headshots > Auto aim any day. You can tell when someone has it on, that's why I use the 3rd person over the shoulder view exclusively. In any case the funniest **** just happened:

This guy was sniping us from a tower in our base. I ran under it, climbed up and snuck behind him with the CQC. Then I injected him, knocked him out, shook him for his stuff twice, then dropped him off of the tower. Then I jumped down and landed on top of him and he woke up and tried to CQC me back, but I got to knock him back down to the ground and a teammate came and finished him off. Epic fight of awesome.

Oh and stun knife = way effin powerful. This dude kept taking out like 2-3 guys at once on our team with it.

Just for those who didn't know

If you live in the US and downloaded the UK beta, you won't be able to connect. A few friends of mine just found that out.

Well, I'm glad I have a legit US beta

I kind of feel the opposite, at first I loved it, now all I can see is bad framerate issues and sub-par graphics, if I could score the beta so far after about 5 hours playtime, I'd give it a 7.5

I take a MEGAlol at anyone passing on MGS4 because of MGO. Even if MGO was utter crap, it wouldn't affect MGS.
