Dont get me wrong i own a ps3 and have 15+ games. But honestly i think the ps3 sucks most of the games released on it aren't up to par with the 360 verisons of those games.

I like kotaku alot actually and I vist their site quite a bit, I also comment on some of their articles. Kotaku will hate on all consoles whenever and for whatever reason, don't get wound up by them when its clear that alot of the time its just a joke.

Lol, funny, but the Playstation 3 version of GTA4 is getting better scores than the X360 does.

And wth? Playstation 3 no good exclusives? Djeez, follow the news :P

Are you kidding me? I mean seriously, NO GAMES? AT ALL? So I wasted money on a system with absolutely no games and blu-ray. This PS3 'has no games' bullcrap needs to end now. Just because the 360 has games, doesn't mean that Sony has nothing.

Compared to the entry level 360, for $100 more you get the only next gen DVD player, free online gaming and a system that doesn't have the worst failure rate of any electronics product ever. The "Elite" is $50 more than the 40GB PS3 and $50 less than the 80 GB PS3 and it still suffers all the same problems as any other version of the 360.

As far as games go, multiplatform are starting to look better on the PS3 and add in games like Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, and Haze which is coming out in a few weeks and MGS4 which is out in about a month and the PS3 has all the best games too.

Kotaku gets more views by making ps3 their number 1 enemy. The entire reason things picked up for them was the entire ps3 launch bashing. Just look at their more recent posts, it's really picked up for them again.

^ or this one which is trying to act like gta4 was a big screw up for the ps3, even though the same problem exsists for the 360 version, which they created an article earlier about which they mention nothing of or will admit it even exsists. Crecente even comes on to defend their fanboy/troll attraction and basically says the readers have no reading comprehension yet declines to comment on why certain key points were omitted from the article in the first place. Read through the comments.

^ gawkers blog writers, or whatever the hell they are, get more cash for more hits. Like many have pointed out recently, they're pretty much trying for mad Diggs and hits.

It's not like this is the start, they've constantly done this, it is true they do it here and there for the other consoles, but being a constant reader of Kotaku, IGN and N4G, it's easy to see when a bias is present. It's almost as if they have a quota, 80% bash on ps3, 15% bash on 360, and the remainder is split between Nintendo, PC and the odds/ends. If anyone trys to comment on their bias, or email crecente, they get bashed, flamed as a fanboy then banned or made to look like a complete jerk. If you disagree with their opinions, automatically you are made out to be a troll.

If you look at wikipedia, you'll see Crecente (or people claiming to be him) and his brother editing and defending the article. His brother is a guest "editor" on kotaku sometimes, but runs around other tech and gaming boards basically promoting hd-dvd and 360.

I mean, just look at the comments they have been receiving in those two articles, especially the second one. Will these guys keep pretending like all of their readers are complete idiots or something?

it's your opinion man. but you said earlier that you have both console, so why does it matter? i mean on the main page you sometime act like an ass, a huge fanboyish one which makes it hard to believe that you do own both consoles. i mean we don't hold market shares in Microsoft or Sony, so we get nothing out of these sales figure you sometimes brag about. and to answer your wuestion, yea i do think they are a bit biased, not with the GTA 4 review though, but in general.

. Bottom line is imo kotaku is just a little bit biased against ps3. Maybe not all of kotaku but at least some of their editors. It doesn't bother me in anyway.

I have both consoles, but i chose my console a long time ago. It cost me 800 bucks around the same time, i got a 360 for xmas from a cousin of mine. I have ABSOLUTELY nothing against Msoft or the 360 its just that i have been rocking playstation for yrs and even with live and achievements, MSoft still hasn't swayed me. I may make a couple of random comments bagging Msoft from time to time but its all in good fun. That being said i do prefer PS3 to the 360. I prefer the controller, i prefer the console i prefer the everything. 360 has some good games which i rent from time to time. The only game i still own on 360 is halo 3 and that is because i have a bunch of friends who always scream halo this and halo that so i keep it for them to play when they come over. Plus i haven't gotten around to finishing the campaign. Every other 360 exclusive i tend to rent however i will be purchasing Ninja gaiden 2 solely because i was a huge fan of gaiden sigma.

Generally i am not a 2 console owner as i rarely have time to play my ps3 games so i am seriously considering selling off my 360 or giving it to my little cousin since all he has is a psp right now.

Nothing fanboyish about my intentions. I am not a sony lover in anyway, i just feel more comfortable on the sony platform that simple.

Generally with the exception of Brian Crecente I take everything on Kotaku with a grain of salt, they are afterall just looking for hits like every other website.

I like their article today about gametrailers. Same guy who made that biased GTA4 lockup/rrod vote, now admitting blame... sort of.

Now the guy who did these articles in the first place changed his picture on the site to some mockup about common sense, what a bunch of jerks.

A fellow friend and commenter on kotaku were speaking with eachother and we remembered a video on GT that had kotaku shooting off their mouths about fanboys.

Yeah he really is, he responds to anyone who anyone who figures them out with a comment insulting their intelligence and trying to belittle them in any way possible. This isn't the first time I've seen this, there was a similar thread on the official playstation forums, someone questioned him in email and he simply responded with "you're an idiot".

As long as they pretend they're taking the high road, they could post a huge article that says PS3 SUCKS BALLS, list a ton of random gibberish lies and turn around defending it saying "you guys can't read properly", "use some common sense", "we meant it in humor" or "wow, our readers need to grow up". Intelligent people will see through this, while the idiots/cowards will back off because they don't know what the hell they are talking about and are afraid of making themselves look stupid by taking a stand. Seriously, out of the commenters that got angry over their posts, not many have stopped commenting. The writers there and certain commenters (kotaku fanboys/defense drones/groupies) they're like a bunch of MIB (men in black) pretending like the whistle blowers are the crazy ones. A recent EchoChrome article on Kotaku was talking about the level editor, someone said they made a penis maze and Crecente starts laughing at it. Next thing you know, a bunch more are responding to that penis comment like it's the most hilarious thing in the world, damn groupie drones they'll follow them to the ends of the earth.

It's not like this isn't common practice, look at the lengths gamespot went through to cover up their incidents.

Now I sound nuts right? lol

In my experience games on the PSN tend to have more teething problems then on Live, however once these are sorted out the gameplay is the same.

From my own experience:

Warhawk - Didn't actually work properly until the first patch game out, hard to get into games & it often didn't save stats. However after everything is fine.
COD 4 - Again teething problems, a patch required, again everything now fine,
GTA IV - Keeped saying I couldn't connect online & then crashed the game if I logged onto PSN, again another patch & it all works.

On topic,

I don't think Kotaku are biased. It seems now if a site gives a low review score to an exclusive or writes an 'anti-PS3/360' article then suddenly it becomes biased. I don't go with that.
