If you're afraid of lag you can limit it to a section of the city, and turn on things like weather, police, or peds.

I was super hyped today and was anticipating picking it up at midnight but somehow the hype has died down. Probably just pick it up tommorrow

Me too.

If Blockbuster won't sell it to me at midnite (when they close) I'll get it after work tomorrow. No way I can go to bed at 3 a.m. and get up for work at 5:45 a.m.

I waited in line for 45 mins then rushed home. Waited 7 more minutes (which I did not mind)(bowl smoking time)and then WOW!!! I am to tired right now to keep playing. However my first two hours have been amazing. It seems so real when you play it. All the subtle details, the city is alive I tell you....ALIVE!!!

Yeah, I have found the game to be very fun. The physics are awesome. Like when you get hit by a car, it is so realistic the way your body flies.

I am going to bed now after about 5 hours of play. Will be playing a lot tomorrow for sure but hopefully I will study for my final on Wednesday because I could see myself not doing that, lol.

It seems I have to wait another day for my copy to arrive

. It should've come two hours ago so I guess the f'ing post office screwed up or something. Last time I ordered a game from an online store. I'll buy my games from a "real" store the next time....The crappiest part of it all is that it's available in a store 5 minutes from here but what can I do? It's already delivered from the online store and it'll most likely come tomorrow so WTH am I supposed to do with two games?

so far so great. the driving took a bit to get use to. first person view driving is wack the car has super springy shocks. but 3rd person is much easier. i still have to get use to the controls a bit.

still it's awesomeness.

Go buy the copy five minutes from your house, keep the receipt, and then when you get your copy in the mail return it at your local store (with receipt) to get your money back.

Well I have about 35 minutes playing time, I just had to have to have it last night so i waited in line at gamespot (yeah i know). Got home around 12:40, popped it in, was sweating bullets waiting the 7 minutes for it to install. My play is very limited, I did the first missions, to get the cell phone, did some driving around town, chased by cops, getting out of zone to get away, ran over people, punched the ambulance drive as he was helping revive people. Man this game is so freaking awesome, there is just a feel to it, it just seems right. I tried a little bit of the multiplayer, did the party thing, where everything is available to you, for some reason i was a chick, got guns, got into a helicopter, landed on top of a building with helipad, jumped off, died. All in all, a nice little day one half hour experience, i was debating calling into work sick today, but i got things to do, the real gaming might have to wait until the weekend. I was wondering about the invites, i could see my friends list in the cell phone, could see if I was invited, but coudlnt find how to invite anyone, and as usual, the game booklet is absolutely no help.

I give this game a 1 out of 10.

First of all I only got to play 5 minutes before it froze on me.

Second the graphics suck

Third The framerate is atrocious

Fourth The jaggies are unbearable.

Did I mention you can only play it up to a certain point?

Thanks man! I guess I'm in the right place

So, have any one tried to get into the airport yet? Do you need some security clothes or something cause you get 4 wanted stars just by walking in there.

Edit: I'm asking cause in the other GTA's you could just walk in there right? That's how I remember it...
