That was pretty much confirmed by Terrence Howard (Rhodes) on the interviews within those sort of "sneak peaks/mini making of"s he also admitted being interested in the role of Rhodes by the chances of playing War Machine (and Iron Man) in the sequel

I saw the movie today and I must say that it's one of the best superhero movies I've seen.
I knew nothing of Iron Man except what I had seen in the Spiderman TV show, so I have no clue if they did a good job representing the comics but for a movie it's really good.

Thank you, I'm glad I'm not alone. I never got why everyone hated that movie, it actually had a freaking story!! One that I personally thought was better than the original origin tale. For what it's worth though Iron Man stuck to the origin and character and it paid off (HEAR THAT RAIMI!?).

Iron man was super badass

one of the best superhero movies ever IMHO, right up there with batman begins for me

Yeah, same here. Even if you dont look at it from a comic re-make point of view... the movie was good just as another action packed movie!

He's also going to be in the next Hulk movie which actually looks really good now. They're crossing over the heroes for the Avengers movie. I think this crop of movies are turning out better because Marvel is actually taking charge now, because Iron Man stuck to the origin story pretty much dead on. So far on the Marvel side I think only Blade really achieved that beforehand, everyone else took some "creative" liberties.

is not a bad movie but I was not vey impress with it neaither were my friends

I liked it but i have this problem to expect a mind blowing movie that it makes it hard for a movie to be really good for me, im a movie freak and I lots of good/bad movies. Iron man was good but there was not much action for all the movie. favorite part was when he was making his suit and crash in to the wall lol

anyways I dont know much about iron man since I never looked at the cartoons or comics, so far I know he has a friend named war machine and some guy name Nick fury(samuel jackson) but who are the main villains?

anyways I will recomemd Street Kings over this movie IMO

Mandarin is probably his greatest foe who I'm guessing will be in either the second or third movie along with War Machine. Maybe Ultimo as well.

The director for this one plans on making 2 other movies. After that, it's anybody's guess as to what happens.

But all the actors in this first one have signed on for the second, which probably will have Mandarin in it.

But I would definitely recommend the movie if you like action thrillers, guns, explosions, and a bit of comedy.

I think Bay could have make this movie even better since he is so good with things going BOOM!!! and the only good BOOOM in Iron man was the Jerico Explotion nothing else

I don't think it would have been that good under Bay, considering what happened to Transformers. We also would have seen way more product placement than the 2/3 that were in Iron Man.

If bay would of made this movie it would of been just explorations no story. They would of just gave Iron Man the mark 3 costume and thats it. By the way the squeal is set for April 30th 2010 and later that year an avengers movie.

I would've like to see more combat in this movie, or at least more combat showcasing the suit's full capabilities rather than him fighting at 40% power capacity or whatever.
