Assassin's Creed 2 will be 100% pure objective based linear stealth.

If you read the comic book, you'd know that. My money is still on AC2. It won't be ANYTHING like the first one. You'll get to cling to ceilings, use knices, machine guns if you get spotted, and it'll take place in ALOT of urban areas and I'm positive it'll have free running in a futuristic city.

The game is going to be awesome.

As for assasins creed 2, well i just hope they don't try to make it like an open world game unnecessarily with super intelligent crowd A.I.

. I think the problem with that game is they tried to make it sand box and not all games operate well in a full sand box environment. They should have just scaled it down and made it more linear and story focused and it would have been a better game.

As for the SC VS MGS argument. I can kind of see what odion is getting at with the sim stealth goes to splinter cell but as an overall game, MGS eats it up easily. There is simply so much more depth with the things you can do its ridiculous.

This is the formula to take out EVERY enemy in SC. Hide in the shadows make a noise make sure your meter says you are hidden when the guard gets close take two steps back as he will only check the exact point where the sound originated from before he turns around exposing himself. At this point you grab him interrogate him or slash his throat which ever you prefer.

The only area i can give SC an edge over MGS is in simpler controls and 3d motion camera.

But i do agree overall SC has a more realistic feel to it and MGS has a more fantasy feel to it. But Halo is fantasy as hell that doesn't mean COD is better than Halo. Overall MGS is the better game.

I always thought AC2 would take place in Asia somewhere due to the ending, and AC3 would be the futuristic one.

I hated the zombie levels in Thief. That game was at its best when its based on reality and the rules make sense. Unlike Splinter Cell where you spend the entire game waging war against lighting fixtures the player in Thief can't just go around knocking out candles and not expect the guards to be alarmed. Crap like the ice arrows totally ruined the immersion for me.

Having said that Hitman totally rocks.

Thief will always be the best stealth game of all time. Splinter Cell Chaos Theory was also pretty good. The nice thing about Splinter Cell is that it is pretty realistic. Metal Gear is decent but the game seems like a soap opera to me. I remember beating Metal Gear Solid 2 and the ending was so long I just shut it off. Plus the AI wasn't very good.

The next best stealth game will be Fade To Black next gen. Conrad Hart comes back with a vengeance and will undoubtedly garner all of the gamers votes for best game of all time.

Just look how well the graphics have kept itself over time.

I remember seeing an aricle about a secret 360-exclusive game that would be better than MGS. Anyone have any idea about what all that's about?

As for Conviction - it should be good because it's made by Ubi Montreal, who made SC1, Chaos Theory and the Xbox/PS2 version of Double Agent (i.e. the good ones IMO), and it should be great because they're making it exclusive to one console, and therefore not having to cut things to that it can work on both consoles. And it could potentially be brilliant because they're taking the series in a very new, interesting direction.

As for games outside of MGS and SC for stealth? I've never really got into Hitman, nor have I played Theif, and I hear Syphon Filter was good on PS1, but all games since have been rubbish.

I've had a random idea - I'm just gonna throw it out there - I think Pandemic should make a stealth game - why not?
