Solar, you are just waisting your thought process on looking for a valid reason. Most of the people that comment on the main site are PS3 fanboys. Being a long time contributor, I can attest to it.

Basically if someone doesn't praise the PS3 as something truly innovative and powerful these minions lash out and attack. The easy way to resolve things is to argue and attack. Since these people have no valid response this is just the primitive way in which they respond.

The fanboys feel like they are being attacked so they go on the offensive. In the end it has nothing to do with Valve at all, it is just that somebody critiqued 'the precious.' It could have been any developer and/or anyone.

Insomniac is a third party, but yet, they make games exclusively for Sony. They must be a bunch of lazy asses working there amiright?

Ignore the fact they get a game out every year that's alot better than most tripe released that's out there.

Call me a PS3 fanboy if you like i don't give a shit. I have seen you make some fanboy like statements yourself so don't go pointing fingers.

Valve has made one great game since 1998. Just one. As far as game developers go, i consider that lazy. Not developing for the PS3 because its too hard is lazy.

I have nothing against exclusive games. I didn't say epic, bungie, team ninja or all the other people who make games are lazy. The point is tons of developers have been critical of ps3 hardware but at the end of the day they still gave it a shot and did their best with it. Valve on the other hand remain adamant and continue to hate now they say they aren't PS3 developers which is fine, they have the right to make games for whatever platform they like. But not releasing a game for a specific console because you don't like the architecture IS LAZY. Majority of developers hate ps3 but that didn't stop them from struggling through it. Valve is LAZY end of story.

Gabe newel is no more special than all the other no name developers who pour their blood and sweat into a game. He doesn't produce original ideas he doesn't design engine code so i don't see where his talent comes from.

Valve make AAA+ PC games, its just what they do.There is no need for them to make watered down console ports IMO. Refusing to make games on your prefered platform doesnt make them lazy or bad devs, it just they way their design decisions panned out.

Insomniac didn't make Uncharted - Naughty Dog did.

UUUU Half Life 2 was like 3 years ago, that was amazing, it also sold like 9 millio copies, then there was TF2, Portal, both episodes, and CS source and day of defeat. I am sorry where in there is a lazy developer, then they have left for dead coming out this year.

Their not lazy they just don't want to go through the hassle of learning a complicated technology that will be useless in 5 years, when it caters to their smallest possible buying market.

I would think that any developer would want to put out the best product they could given the timeframe they had to do it. The thing with Sony is that they always use this architecture in their consoles that isn't mainstream. They should have put the developers in mind first.

They did the same thing with the PS2. The Cell will most likely be used in just the PS3 and never a PC. What it boils down to is that Sony wants to make their own hardware bc it is cheaper for them that way.

stupid anaology, if i was a PC developer I would not spend the time nor the money to learn a system which will litterally be used only once and will be useless knowledge in less then half a decade. Considering that also the PS3 population is prob the least likely to buy their games, there is no real motivation to do it.

Why is Insomiac lazy for not bringing out a 360 game?

I'm tired of arguing this. Valve is lazy and i still don't see gabe newels talents. Insomniac and sony have a contract. Sony owns all their ip's they can't go porting their games because they are bound by contract. If studio X won't make a game for PS3 because Msoft paid or they prefer the X360 then that isn't laziness. But if the reason behind not making the game is not wanting to learn how to program for it, then that is laziness. I don't care if it will be obsolete in 5yrs or whatever, 5yrs is a long time, enough time for some companies to squeezei n 5 games. Except for valve who make about 2 games a decade

So what if valve make 2 good games in a decade. People are still playing those games to this day in thousands of servers online 24/7. Will you be playing RFOM or halo 3 10 years from now? Because people will still be playing counter strike 1.6/source and now TF2 then

Lets get something straight here. Vavle DID NOT make Counterstrike. Counterstrike was a mod created by a handfull of fans. Later on Vavle hired these guys and bought the IP. The same goes for other Vavle games like Day of Defeat. As for the PS3 hate, it makes perfect sense since Vavle is a PC developer at heart so its easier for them gravitate toward the 360.

yeah...i see the hatred here is this forum discussion and the news section...calling Gabe fat...no talent developers after years of AAA titles. its pure hatred thats it. sad when a library of games such as Valve has produced = lazy. totally mindblowing.
