there were just a couple of things that just screamed wtf.

Like how they all walked out of the APC and got mowed down, and when they walked into the warehouse, the one dude gets blown up and then the rest of them just walk in

Well not everything had damage before but i hope the environmental damage isn't really gone. They have almost a full yr to get everything together so still hope if it doesn't show in the video. The A.I. from E3 looked really daft to me, so i hope they didn't get evem more daft.

@pirate the first screen isn't in game

Not what I read. People said it looked like concept art. I'll do a recheck on that.

Some of the responses here really don't make any sense though....The environmental damage and the cover system are clearly shown in the streaming video. Ok, maybe not clearly, but they're there if you look. And by contrast, I thought the fire and explosions looked nice, the only thing that pertrubed me was the lack of crater after the impact of an artillery shell.

Edit: That first picture is in-game confirmed

And I also caught this

I just got back from the show and must say i was looking forward in seeing KZ2 more than anything else and i wasnt disappointed!

Nice video but its missing one of my favorite parts! :( the whole introduction to the level is beyond awesome... it starts with you on the drop ship and about 10 others dodging attacks from the ground and u see bodies flying into your dropship and shit if i remember correctly (its now a blur in my mind as my jaw was on the ground). Eventually your dropship starts to crashland and it goes into an outside view of the ship bouncing across the water below and finally stops. Then without any loading youre put straight into the fight where this gameplay starts off from.

I was also very impressed with the parts where you help ppl up a wall and ppl also helping you...the animation and movements look great. Overall my favorite ting of the show (along with the video of Mirrors Edge)

Blasphemy. If they take out blood spray that is bullsh!t. WTF

I hear you. Hope that doesn't happen.

those are some serious effing graphics for a console MK.  to say anything else is plain foolish.

I'm not saying they are bad or anything. My point is that they seem weakened compared to previous footage (E3 07 demo and Leipzig one).

I love that pic of that guy helping that guy up on the thing.

I'm with you. That's one uber awesome shot. Not only could point to a superb gameplay feature, it is graphically as good as I hoped to be, unlike the actual footage which felt underwhelming to me.

Beautiful gun model, and you can sneak a peak at a new type of Helghast in the back there. It looks like it can run across walls or something.

Its hard to judge the graphics from these videos, though I'm sure they look amazing when running to an lcd through hdmi cables. I have faith that killzone will have another hit here, especially after all this friggin time they've been putting in it.

i totally agree with the little flaws you mentioned....and don't forget the horrible aiming, but it was 2004, on the ps2. if it was "all bad" thne they wouldn't of come out with killzone 2.

if fundemental desing flaws in the gameplay are little flaws what the hell is a major flaw, the terrible performance cause GG over worked the PS2?

The reason we have a number 2 is because Sony didn't have another shooter IP to back, and considering how hot the FPS genre was getting at the time they needed an IP of their own. I am sure if they had, had Resistence at the time we would never see a Killzone 2

This post makes alot of sense.

ANd to comment on the above: Man, KZ1 was a technical disaster. Holy God was it bad.

If KZ1 had ANYTHING going for it, it was music, and the variety of it's environments.

yeah, mabye....but killzone could of had way more sucess if it had been developed properly...so yeah, i take back what i said about "another" hit and just say that they'll do it right this time, cuz they kinda fudged a good thing last time.

It's intro demo / CG was pretty cool too

But aside from that, it was nothing but hype. Sony wanted to make Killzone the Halo killer amd GG simply wasn't up to the task (And I don't think they are now).

Sony should have given the 5 years and 60 million dollars to Insomniac or Naughty Dog instead of GG.

But this game just hides all the other games.  If they gave the money to naughty dog and Insomniac we might have different games right now instead of uncharted and Resistance.  Also the money probably makes them nervous cause if they f'up they are screwed,

I know that we could have had different games by now but same applies for GG. And seriously, which team is better? GG, Isnomniac or ND? I think it's more than obvious that ND and Inso are AAA studios. Why Sony gave 60 million to GG then!?

ND could have made a game that better than Halo, Resistance and COD4 combined with that budget and time. Same goes for Insomniac. If they make yearly games with this quality, imagine how sick a game could look if it was made in 5 years with 60 million.
That is why Nintendo games have incredible quality. Because Nintendo spends 5 ot 6 years developing a single Zelda game and when they come out, they are near perfect.

Another reason why they could of gave it to them is because in uncharted at the end of the credits it says thank you to Guerrilla games.  We do not know how they helped.  You never know if they all are helping each other make the game.
