Here is the link:http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=25755

this Post got lost somehow and can't be resubmitted. WIERD

From the Magazine:

"First up, we have Crysis. Now it's no secret that Crysis is coming to PS3 this year. The excitable, hard-worked coders over at Crytek have said as much in many interviews - they've even produced a new, multi-platform engine in readiness - but the real juice here is that it won't be a straight conversion of the PC game. We understand PS3 Crysis will be an almost 50% new game, with many of the original games staff taken off PC Crysis months before release to begin to work on Crysis 2 and a port to PS3 that will include aspects of the sequel - but a new structure, environments, weapons and enemies will feature on PS3. This should be one of the year's biggest console shooters."

    lol nice one

But seriously, i tried playing crysis on my pc but even at the lowest settings, the amount of pop up was simply too much for me to manage. I hope it does come out on consoles. If it can achieve low pc settings, it should still be a good game. I would be surprised if it did though. A console port for crysis should have been announced by now

I have played crysis on a high spec machine and while it looks great, the game itself isnt that fun. Stealthing into a north korean camp and then punching them through a flimsy support does get boring after a few hours.

I hope the console port is a different game with the same engine.

Yea i got the same feeling when i was playing on pc. It looked good but after a while, you get that "nothing new here" feeling. Coupled with the fact that was my first pc game in almost 2yrs and i was struggling with keyboard and mouse controls and pop ups were annoying the hell out of me, i abandoned it in about an hr or two

No, they're just the best in any game to date, that's all.

I can't wait to play Crysis online on PSN.

Actually the developers said that the PS3 and 360 are very currently capable of running  CryENGINE 2.
    Developers quote below.

    quote:

Harald Seeley, Crytek's engine business manager, stated that once the engine was tailored to each platform and its limitations compared to the PC, he was surprised that visually, they performed better than expected. He expects that once the tweaking for the respective revisions of the engine is complete, it will have the same visual quality of the high settings found on the PC. According to Seeley, Crytek found the conversion of the AI system of the engine more challenging than the physics or rendering systems, which was unexpected.

yeah, pretty graphics doesn't necessarily make a great game. if the game play is stale and the story is irrelevant then i'm not for it, no matter how pretty it is.
i'm not a graphics whore anyway, sure it's nice to have great visuals, but developers shouldn't just focus on that primarily.

Poor PS3's that get this crap inserted into them.
The game is fun for 15-20 minutes and then you know how to beat every level by doing the exact same thing... cloaking \o/
The AI is just too dumb. They should just have made a benchmark out of the game instead of the game itself.

Good graphics don't make a good game. I've had more fun going through Duke Nukem 3D again recently than playing this piece of crap game for half an hour.

You actually just gave me a good idea to kill some time inbetween GTAIV driving missions frustration.

After the initial shock and awe at how beautiful and open everything is, the game gives way to the "Farcry with a nano suit" mechanics. The physics are dope as hell though.
