For the 360 I think 40 million is an honest goal to aim for...the longer they're in the market the more respectable they become. Even though we have no idea, IF Microsoft continues to produce better games it's inevitable that it one day wins the console war.

I'm guessing that won't be for a few generations though.

I think what gives sony the edge is the success from ps2 and ps1. A bunch of ps2 owners will run with the wii but sooner or later they will grow tired of that experience. It took me 3hrs for me to figure out wii was a gimmick. I went from oh my this is so fun to don't worry you can play ahead of me in 3hrs

The playstation brand only goes so far, most people who bought the PS2 have no brand loyality and don't really care, they just buy the defacto system which was the PS2. 90% of consumers have zero brand loyality.

If they did Nintendo would have sold 100 million consoles every generation for the past couple of gens, and sega would still be here.
