I think Miami Vice was one of the best shows ever. Man was it cool for it's time.

Well what I consider THE TV show EVER just based on how brutally it got me without any warning was LOST

and while I like a very big variety of shows (HUGE CIS Vegas/Miami/ NY and Law and Order/SVU/CI whore ) one of the shows that really became a phenomena among me and my friends was THE mega cult show

The IT Crowd

its probably one of the few shows were most episodes had made me laugh SO hard ive cried and all the geek references were masterpieces

well no matter what anyone here says, I encourage you all to watch at least the first 5 episodes of Arrested Development. You need at least 5 to understand how they go back into the old shows and use that stuff to build up the comedy in the new episodes...the end of season 2 did it so well.

And based on the ratings I saw from metacritic(which was only season 2 for some reason) and from Imdb, Arrested development series is the #1 show on television and should not have been cancelled. I mean seriously, if you can hold a 9.7 out of 10 with over 26,000 votes, you gotta be doin something right, especially with the current first place(Heroes) only at 8.4, and second place(House) with 9.2, both with under 500 points...although i dont know how that makes Heroes over House. The #1 most watched tv show (American Idol) only has a rating of 5/10 with over 4,000 votes.

And for those Lost lovers, Lost is on neither list and has a 9/10 rating with 960 votes.

STUPID FOX NETWORK, first Family Guy and Futurama, then the greatest show on TV...at this rate, House is probably next...they need all the space they can get to keep competing with VH1 for the most ridiculous reality tv shows.

Arrested Development was too good for it's own good. If more people would have stuck around for more than one or two episodes they would've seen the genius comedy lying right there and it wouldn't have been cancelled so soon.

I just want 24 to come back. Season 6 was atrocious and I'm interested to see if they can get back to form. Tony Almeida returning should be interesting as well.

and some Scubs......is getting worse and worse..

Arrested Development got better and better...at least to me it has, im still in the beginning of the 3rd season(the one I actually missed) and their are things that just pop up that make you wanna keep watching, on top of the comedy...but to me the ending or the second half of the second season was by far the funniest, at least so far.

Go and rent the discs. Arrested Development has to be on of the funniest shows I've ever seen.

I've always wanted to watch Lost but I missed out on it when it premired (no DVR's yet lol). I'm planning on purchasing all the seasons when they release on disc to check it out.

I hope Heroes didn't jump the shark last season because that's what it felt like.

No comedy out right now can beat The Office. That show is pure gold!

Yeah, there's no "finishing" Arrested Development. I still can't turn away from an episode when I see it on HDNet. You really have to watch all of the episodes 3 or 4 times to catch everything. Just as an example (with no spoilers), you'll want to re-watch the beginning episodes of Season Two after the "Loose Seal" incident.

Just trust me.

OMG!!! i say the same thing!!! the first time you miss it b/c your laughing at what happens..then the second time, you know what happens and then listen to whats going on and then...ahhhl, the writers for this show are such geniuses.

UPDATE: So I talked my girl into watching this show, now she loves it...not necessarily obsessed, but this is a big step for a girl who thinks One Tree Hill is the best show ever

So that means that we in this thread have converted 2 ppl so far, if my count is correct.
