the game deserves a 4.5/10 because of the install time which Konami dont want me to reveal.

That`s what I was expecting! MGS4 will be the best game in the best game series ever! Usually I care about reviews but in case of MGS4 I don`t! Even if it get low scores (which won`t happen), I will still buy this game!

Agreed, I also felt the story went way over my head, which I felt insulted my intellignece a little, so chop two points off that score.

Wow... WRONG. Score is not all that maters, its what matters the least buddy. For example, 2 sites have given the same review (in text) to MGS4, but the scores differ. Hmmm, why is this?

Seriously, its people like you who infect everyone with 'OoOooOo yaz tiz game rocks IGNs gave it a 9z yo!' or the more likely 'BoOooOoo IGN gaves this craps a 5z, it sucks whoever buys it is gay'.

no, score matters a lot. In game development many companies are beginning to base bonuses on scores, not sales. also, when it comes to calling your title goty, which improves sales, scores matter. hell scores matter in everyday purchases. maybe not to people like me and you but to the general public and to publishers scores matter more than anything but final sales. since scores directly affect those final sales they matter.

scores matter because when a game scores low and gets bad press sales go down. guess what? no sequel. scores matter to gamers.

when scores are low and mr dumb gamer doesn't care, sales go down and the publisher cuts funding. no patches. scores matter to gamers.

when scores are low and sales drop, the publisher doesn't pay to develop dlc. scores matter to gamers.

when scores are bad and sales are low, no one buys the game so mp servers have hardly anyone on them. scores matter to gamers. don't be blind.
