holy **** Duke, I think you just started a war between Canada and the US.

You can't start a war with Canada...It would be over in 2-3 days and we would have another 20 or so states. Canada in a war LMAO.

but the mounties, the mounties!!!

Odion, invest in some seriously awesome footwear, the kind that walks for you.  Then, use your self-walking shoes to walk to another job, this one clearly isn't worth it.

ok I finally got up.

LOL Duke is that HONESTLY the best you can do to try and make me angry? I didn't even feel a need to say anything. Besides if everything goes according to plan I'll be there in 4 years. 2 more years of school to get my BA in criminology, then 2 years working with the Canadian version of the Peace Corp in South Africa, and then hopefully with that added on I'll get into the University of New York for their graduatre degree in International affairs.

I've worked physical labor all my life, from moving 60lb bags of pet food at a pet store when I was 14, to unloading and loading trucks at hechts, to now surveying.  I wish I knew of this easy-going life style you guys speak  of.  :(

learn AutoCAD, and make your surveying experience invaluable.  Pass the Land Surveyors exam, and work for a consulting firm making final/tract maps.

Thats what I use, AutoCAD.....I'm a carpenter by trade and found it very physically demanding. Now, I draft the houses using AutoCAD and don't even break a sweat.

yeah autoCAD is a pretty useful tool.  I use it on a daily basis, well I used to use it everyday, I worked for a consulting compnay that designed new developments.  Now I used it every so often, now that i moved onto water resources.  There are so many add ons to autoCAD for different specialities, its crazy

So to pay for my rent/Tution for school I had to take this night position. Now while I don't get tired while doing work, and living on that timetable is ok because I do it regardless, I have no arch in my feet (medical problem!) So standing and doing the pychisical labour for 8 to 9 hours is to say the least a nightmare. I can't even take my last break because if I sit down for the 15 mins and get back up my feet buckle on me.

oh before anyone can say it, pretend I am saying this to myself as me.

"Have an issue? Heres a Tissue QQ more"

Umm.. 8-9 hrs a day of standing? wil u cope my hours 13-14hrs a day, I'm a pastry chef and its freaking hard work and i work for a 4* hotel, i understand what u mean and i have sensitive feets and got some very comfort shoes that takes me through the day,

Plantar Fasciatis. My ex wife had that. The way I understand it the feet tear when you walk. I got a doctor to say she was handicapped and I set it up so she could go to school for free as a medical/dental assistant. The ungrateful biatch divorced me. Good thing too because from what I've been hearing, she was a real pincushion.

She used to buy custom insoles for her shoes. Some were better than others. Do you use those? They did help her.

Get some reallt think shocks to cusion you VS you're shoose, go see a doctor who should write you a letter to you're emplyer, maybe also put bandages on you feet Also, find another job man,  you don't need to put you're self though that.

I have flat feet myself so I feel your pain Odion.  Some insoles will definately help you out.  But personally, I liked working through pain so the more my feet hurt, the more motivated I was to get the job done.

Made me feel like a MAAAAAAAAAAAN
