yeah, it would be awesome, or even co-op play in which you need to work together to do the puzzles. like have one player on one section of the level and the other on another part and having to synchronize the puzzle elements to go on. online play would be welcomed but if they do i hope they concentrate on the SP part more than the MP Exactly, it shouldn't just be death match stuff. As long as SP doesn't suffer then i say they go for it yeah, like a Gears online thing would be cool and yeah, if they could squeeze that in for online mode that would be icing on the cake. and yeah, the ability to throw back grenades would be cool, same with a stealth feature and a knife would be awesome as well. quote:
ORIGINAL: EL SALVADOR This thread kind of conflicts with the going back to Uncharted after GTA IV thread. Uncharted has it's problems as most of you pointed out here. Uncharted 2 should be in first person and have a lot less ledge jumping. It's a lot like Pitfall which came out in 1982. It was fun then but showing it's age now. Uncharted 2 should be more of a shooter. yeah, every game should now be FPS. gimme a break, not all games should be FPS and Uncharted is definitely one that shouldn't. it's a platformer and it's suppose to have platforming elements. if you don't like this sort of genre stick to your generic FPS gaming. Uncharted is perfect for what it is, it's a Shooter/Platformer. and it does it very well. i hope to God ND doesn't listen to people like you and make it a shooter only game. Did you read the title of this thread? It's about ideas. Yours are no more valid or invalid than mine. If I think Uncharted 2 would be better as a FPS. I have every right to say it. Don't worry Naughty Dog won't listen to people like me or like you. This is a thread about people throwing ideas around. Don't take it like it's the Bible. fair enough, but changing it to an FPS is by far the worst idea i've heard. they might as well make an entirely new IP if they went that way. actually, developers do listen to the public now. whether or not they incorporate our ideas is another thing, but trust me, they read what we write online. Another thing, I have seen recent games get trashed for being linear. Uncharted was very linear and the game doesn't get trashed for it. Linear and ledge jumping. They need to fix that. true, it would make a better game if it was more of an open world but not all games need to be sandbox. people are getting too spoiled with open worlds since GTA and that's a shame. not all games can be sandbox. if they made the next uncharted a little more open that would be a good thing, but i do like the platforming elements and they should keep it because it was always meant to be a platformer as well as a 3rd person shooter. not everyone likes platforming but this gen needs more games like these because we're being bombarded with FPS and 3rd person shooters and not very many platformers. I like to have a game library that's more diverse and so i welcome anything that breaks away from this shooter frenzy we're experiencing. In Uncharted 2, I hope they add posts with too many long quotes in it. Just like this one! Great idea! LMAO!!! Uncharted 2 would need more of a diverse storyline. I was disappointed we didn't really learn a lot about the bad guys as to their motivations, fleshing out of all characters is a MUST in this day and age. I hated the last portion of the game as well. I hated most of the shooting elements but they were always pretty short so you can get back to the platforming. The last section, though, was way too long (Loved the fight scene at the very end though). No Multi-player. I know it goes against a trend but, as I said, what makes Uncharted a lot of fun is the platforming aspect and I don't think that can really be pulled off in an online environment. I would be open to something like mentioned above about a joint puzzle-solving element, but certainly no Death Match or Capture the Flag.
