Also it'd be cool if Drake's next adventure took him across a wide variety of landmarks.  Like Pyramids, Great Wall, Eifell Tower.

Yea that would be a badass idea, chasing a treasure around the world (against another group of bad guys of course) solving puzzles going on insane chases down the streets of london then the next day youre solving a puzzle on the statue of libertys crown and at the whole time youre in a race with other treasure hunters...Reminds me of the movie National Treasure

But i highly doubt this will happen according to the ending of the game, what i would like to see is:
-Less shooting/Fps feel, only the end kinda ruined the the fun just making you shoot a whole bunch of guys nonstop, hope they dont carry this into the sequel

-Make fighting more needed, the fighting was really just an add on to the game it didnt feel necessary but it was fun, maybe have a few scenes where you see a few guys without guns so you fistfight them instead of shooting them or like the classic *gun slips off side of building leading to fistfight* scene

yeah, it would be awesome, or even co-op play in which you need to work together to do the puzzles.
like have one player on one section of the level and the other on another part and having to synchronize the puzzle elements to go on.

online play would be welcomed but if they do i hope they concentrate on the SP part more than the MP

Exactly, it shouldn't just be death match stuff. As long as SP doesn't suffer then i say they go for it

yeah, like a Gears online thing would be cool and yeah, if they could squeeze that in for online mode that would be icing on the cake.

and yeah, the ability to throw back grenades would be cool, same with a stealth feature and a knife would be awesome as well.

This thread kind of conflicts with the going back to Uncharted after GTA IV thread. Uncharted has it's problems as most of you pointed out here.

Uncharted 2 should be in first person and have a lot less ledge jumping. It's a lot like Pitfall which came out in 1982. It was fun then but showing it's age now. Uncharted 2 should be more of a shooter.

yeah, every game should now be FPS.

gimme a break, not all games should be FPS and Uncharted is definitely one that shouldn't. it's a platformer and it's suppose to have platforming elements. if you don't like this sort of genre stick to your generic FPS gaming.
Uncharted is perfect for what it is, it's a Shooter/Platformer. and it does it very well.
i hope to God ND doesn't listen to people like you and make it a shooter only game.

Did you read the title of this thread? It's about ideas. Yours are no more valid or invalid than mine. If I think Uncharted 2 would be better as a FPS. I have every right to say it. Don't worry Naughty Dog won't listen to people like me or like you. This is a thread about people throwing ideas around. Don't take it like it's the Bible.

fair enough, but changing it to an FPS is by far the worst idea i've heard. they might as well make an entirely new IP if they went that way.
actually, developers do listen to the public now. whether or not they incorporate our ideas is another thing, but trust me, they read what we write online.

Another thing, I have seen recent games get trashed for being linear. Uncharted was very linear and the game doesn't get trashed for it. Linear and ledge jumping. They need to fix that.

true, it would make a better game if it was more of an open world but not all games need to be sandbox. people are getting too spoiled with open worlds since GTA and that's a shame. not all games can be sandbox.
if they made the next uncharted a little more open that would be a good thing, but i do like the platforming elements and they should keep it because it was always meant to be a platformer as well as a 3rd person shooter. not everyone likes platforming but this gen needs more games like these because we're being bombarded with FPS and 3rd person shooters and not very many platformers. I like to have a game library that's more diverse and so i welcome anything that breaks away from this shooter frenzy we're experiencing.

In Uncharted 2, I hope they add posts with too many long quotes in it. Just like this one!

I believe ND said that Uncharted is a franchise and a sequel is planned but I don't think it has begun being made yet.

Great idea! LMAO!!!

Uncharted 2 would need more of a diverse storyline. I was disappointed we didn't really learn a lot about the bad guys as to their motivations, fleshing out of all characters is a MUST in this day and age.

I hated the last portion of the game as well. I hated most of the shooting elements but they were always pretty short so you can get back to the platforming. The last section, though, was way too long (Loved the fight scene at the very end though).

No Multi-player. I know it goes against a trend but, as I said, what makes Uncharted a lot of fun is the platforming aspect and I don't think that can really be pulled off in an online environment. I would be open to something like mentioned above about a joint puzzle-solving element, but certainly no Death Match or Capture the Flag.

My Uncharted 2 ideas

Enemy AI improvement
Enemies should now run out of bullets and would have to change to a different gun
The enemies should actually hide on Nate and jump him at unexpectant times
They should try to retreat if they become weak
They should move in between cover more often
If you shoot an enemy in the leg, they should fall to the ground and struggle to stand. But they could still attempt to shoot you while on the ground.

Other
The story should be as long as Jak II: Renegade
More characters
Boss fights
More paths to choose
Less linear
More weopons such as the rocket launcher
More vehicle missions
1080p resolution
Local and online Co-op
Another supernatural plot twist
Upgrades for guns, fighting and shooting
More locations instead of just one
A safehouse to go to in the game after finishing a location, where you can see your awards and upgrade your skills

Could not disagree more. I HATED that element of the game but took it in stride as they were actually pretty challenging to fight. I hope they can stay away from that for the sequel.

i think it would be cool to have the ability to sneak up on a enemy beat them up and put on there uniform to be able to sneak through trouble. basicly maybe some stealth

and like the other person said an underwater mission would be cool

I think boss battles would kinda ruin the fluidity of the game.  I would like it to be in India and where you can walk through sandy market streets with people all around and then a baddy shoots at you and you hide behind a market stall and shoot him and all the people start running away, then Nathan runs down a backstreet, kills a couple other baddies and slides into the jungle. I really like the platforming and I thought the monster run and gun thing was absolute genius, fantastic switch in strategy.  I think the car scene would be awesome if you ride an indian elephant. Also co-op where someone can be Elena would be really really great. I dont want a MP mode. It would ruin the story of the whole game and the story is a big part of Uncharted. Uncharted is my favourite game this gen and I am gonna play it now...

Yea that was the only part in the game that put a frown on my face, I think thats also why the game didnt get perfect 10s, they need to stay faaaaar away from the supernatural thing...let it die along with the cursed treasure

i disagree. the plot twist and creatures were a great addition which helped change the pace of the game a lot. i liked it alot.

i agree with a lot of LarVanian's stuff though, they sound awesome and hope they will be added in future sequels.

My Ideas for Uncharted 2:

Improved AI
More open roaming as far as paths
More than one locale (treasure hunting across continents)
Longer game (I enjoy this game the most but a few more hours wouldn't hurt)
Playing as other characters when you are separated
NO MP
NO SUPERNATURAL ELEMENTS (It was interesting in this story but it should not be a recurring theme)
NO FPS elements (by far the WORST idea I have heard in this thread)
Underwater swimming

and....

come out in 2009!

in your opinion do you think that stealth tactics like finding a scout/gaurd beating them up and taking their uniform to get through territory too rough to fight through and stuff like that?

and explotions need to improove
and maybe more blood/death animations

I think that would be a little bit too much stealth for a game like this.  I think the idea of sneaking past guards is good but taking a uniform to blend in would be too much.  He's a treasure raider who likes to get his hands dirty.

As far as explosions go they were one of my favorite things to see in Uncharted, but there is some area for improvement.

Hand to hand combat should improve a lot.  It got so bad I stopped trying after I got my medals.

An artic adventure would be cool or at least part of it in the artic.

i watch Indiana Jones and the last crusade an hour ago.  I think that using indiana jones as reference would be great as long as it did't become too much like it.

If there were parts in a tomb they NEED to make boobi-traps everywere

better sniping( i got the sniper once or twice and it wasnt as good as it should of been)

have NIGHTS and DAYS and Different weather like rain/earthquakes/landslide

the part were you had to run on those playforms while they were breaking behind you was one of my favorite parts, they should do more variety of things like that.

maybe being able to set traps

being able to hide to avoid too many bad guys.

he needs a signiture weapon just like indiana jones and his whip
