Actually now that I think of it, I have made 9 or so threads myself, yet only 2 of them are left, and none of the threads i had deserved to be locked or deleted!

A reason would be appropriate. At least members would know why. I never closed a thread without a reason in writing. When we used to edit you had to put your name. I used to send PM's and got good results from doing that. Being a mod was a tough job. Nobody likes the ref. You could never really give your opinion on most things.

Bingo.

The mod-in-me answer is that the mods have a hundred other things to do and can't always PM for every limitation they impose on the thousands of N4G members. With dozens of threads and dozens of articles at any one time this is may not be the best way of doing things but it's understandable. But the correct thing would have been to PM a mod yourself, or put this in the Site Suggestion and Help section.

The toughNAME in me answer is that mods can have ulterior motives. Mods control you but administrators control the mods. Go to them.

Also, when they tell you to PM one of them...mass PM all the mods. They'll probably end up finding out in the staff forum so they may get a little pissy but spamming them is unfortunately, the most effective way.

I was wondering about that, too. I was going to make a thread asking about it, but we're not meant to do that

Whoa whoa... wait a minute. I havent even been on N4G much the past few weeks...

Whoever the stealth mod is that is locking these things is... well, just that. A stealth mod.

Anyway... like Ru said... you guys need to PM us if an issue like that happens again. It's clutter to create a thread about it. I see no reason why this topic should be open... the issue's been resolved.

    Remember guys... PM us!!

i have to agree a little with ya..... also the "ignore list" thread.... its been around for awhile and was just harmless fun but all of a sudden its locked without reason...

at least when cat locks something she usually leaves a comment at the end

    That thread was a dupe.
