I thought people blaming their parents was the easiest scapegoat.

Talking about parents.people who smoke near to
their kids are disgusting.Especially when the infant is
very young and unable to do anything about it.

You might say I am biased because I absolutely abhor this addiction.

Yeah. I completely agree with that.

And I'll go one step farther. It bothers me when people smoke around their pets. Especially dogs, which have a much more keen sense of smell than humans. I'd imagine it's absolute torture for them to be stuck in a smokey car or house. And because their lives are shorter, they get cancer much more readily than humans. They really have no say in it, then suffer from it, and they can't complain.

Yes... my dog... another reason I'm quitting.

I'm in the process of trying to quit. I usually smoke 2 packs a day for the last 23 years, but am now down to about 1 pack. I started a new brand which tastes like ass just to help curb my addiction.

I've tried to quit in the past but it hasn't worked for me. I smoke about a pack a day now. I've debated over trying nicotine patches. Tell me if Chantix works all the way. Where did you get the stuff though your doctor?

Yup. $55 CDN for 2 weeks worth but considering smokes are almost $10 a pack here it's worth it.

Gotta before a presentation in front of the deans and peer reviewers.

I get so tense, my vocal cords lock up and I stutter, which leads me to getting my nervous, where I stutter even more and resort to calming myself down in my native language. It's all very embarassing.

Why do people start smoking when they know they are going to go through hell trying to quit?

In the past week I've had about two packs of cigarettes down from 1/2 a pack a day. I have no craving and cigarettes don't taste the same. No craving = no "satisfaction" from a cigarette. I smoked two yesterday morning nothing more.

Champix has really worked for me. The only thing I miss is the social aspect of smoking and the hand to mouth thing.

Oh yeah I'm playing MGS4 and Snake smokes like every fricken 10 minutes. Tough to watch.
