This topic is just asking for trouble, because when a touchy subject like this comes up people dont know how to react.

Despite my hatred towards political correctness... lets keep this thread politically correct, in addition to civil and respectful.

In short... let's have a mature discussion.

I know many friends of Dorothy. It's kind of funny how people get up in arms about homosexuality but it's not surprising.

The FACT is, human beings are just like any other animal; our primary goal is to procreate. When some people see others who are putting themselves in a position to not do this (at least in the most natural way) it is a little off putting. BUT, that is what evolution is all about.

when I was a kid, my neighbour was gay. Of coarse that was hell being a kid in a community with a population of 500 and having a gay neighbour, everyone knew and everyone made fun of me because of it. Now that I'm grown up, it means nothing to me who's gay and who's not. I have a fiance (female) and a strong heterosexual sexuality, so why should I care what someone else does in the privacy of their bedroom. I think people that look down on it is making somthing their business that really isn't.

For some reason, it really strikes me as funny that you had to point this out in this thread and this thread only.

My father-in-law is gay, he and his partner are pretty cool guys...If you met them on the street or anywhere you'd have no idea they'd be gay...They look like bar brawlers...lol...one works in a mine and the other is carpenter/plumber.

I had a big rant typed up about how they are treated like second-class citizens in their religious community, and how they used to be well respected, and it all changed when they came out.

but I'll keep it to myself I'm pretty sure some of you wouldn't want to look at a wall o' text...lol

I thought sexual orientation didn't matter on the interwebnets.

On a side note: Pride week has started in Toronto. It starts today (the 20th) and goes to the 29th! Happy pride week.

Didn't know it ran the same time as NYC Pride. Cool
A huge group of us go out to the parade every year. It seriously is some of the most fun you can have in the city annually, apart from Halloween and Labor Day.

One of my best friends is gay. Personally it doesn't matter to me if someone is gay or not the same with someones race..people are people.

Yeah, I was very disappointed that I didn't get to go down to Disney World during Gay Days, I thought it would have been fun. Plus, I was going to try to trick my mother-in law into wearing a red T-shirt.

In all seriousness
It's a huge deal Space. Space guys call each other gay all the time. Guys will even go as far as too put doubts in the other guys head about his straight cred. Guys will call other guys homo that like plays, read books, listen too the wrong un-straight music. Have you ever heard of Whittaker Chambers. He was accused of being gay and homo by the very progressive-Leftist-communist-Jacobin movement that that many on this forum love to day.

I am the most gay person in this forum then.I wanted to use the word 'sodomite',but there is no dual meaning to it.
I don't use such swords.

This video conveys my message to some of you.Not all of you. They will recognize themselves.
Reread my post. I am not accusing anyone of anything other then Spacey being too sensitive. Guy's play rough that's what we do. To say that being called a name is the same as intimidation or persecution is insulting to people that are actually are intimidated and persecuted. And harry if that is the worst that has been thrown at you then you never stood up for anything in your life.

Game Over

I think I did not understand your initial post enough and that my
comedic take on it had little success.Since I still can't understand
what you meant and you have probably misunderstood me too,I will
abstain from adding anything to this. I apologize.

I re read it again,I understood your point just now
and I understand from where the confusion stems.
No worries,nothing bad happened.

I should have highlighted the above earlier.

What the reading books or listening to un-straight songs? All you have to do is learn how to fight. Then in you mind you will always know that you have a trump card.

You don't have much of a choice in the matter. They are your family.

Sure you do. I have an Uncle who is gay and half of the family won't talk to him or about him.

Ignorance can go very deep.
