ORIGINAL: Charlie2688 from the ones I can recall the most accurately there are "That is sad" (were apparently the moderator ignored the context and decided the "sad" part was an attack to another user), another one that has been presented is SO many ways has been the variations of "you couldn't be more wrong dude" or "you have no clue" etc again apparently the GS forums its obligatory to agree and THE most innocent and polite of disagreements gets treated in the same way as the most rude ones but I think one of THE most epic suspensions was over "how old are you?" were apparently the action of asking someone there age is taken as flaming I guess the mod thought someone was been called a "kid" or something and again decided to ignore the whole context of the conversation if you think those examples are INSANE...hell welcome to GS and you can always go and see for yourself that forums to see THE most bizarre examples of what gets moderated there >.> Here's the problem. I see things like this quite often in their "Ask the Mods" forum and people will complain about a moderation and claim that all they said was "(insert comment here)" when that really was not all they said. There are other circumstances too. It could have been something posted in the wrong forum, something posted in an account suicide thread, or maybe they had an extremely long quote chain. Nobody gets moderated for making an inoccent comment unless it's purely an accident and that would be a rare thing indeed. And what examples of bias did you have? well maybe sometimes but other times (and MANY of the ones ive seen) it was an insane modding for example the one of "how old are you" came from a thread about a you kid (real) trying to get M rated games and all the thread was OK and polite no attacks no nothing but yes many of the crazy I have seen I was either in the innocent thread were out of nowhere someone got moderated on or looking at the mods thread you can find a link to the thread in question and like I said many didn't warrant a moderation much worse a suspension. In the case of bias wow I don't even know were to start, well 2 of the ones I actually got "involved" in were the former "legendary" moderator of the PS3 forums that after some questionable suspensions and bannings people found out his profile were well that moderator expressed his deep "dislike" for the PS3 and after some users address him questioning how questionably he managed the PS3 forums he pretty much replied he could care less for the PS3 bla bla and one of the persons that went to another mods to complain we suspended for questioning there "decisions" for all I know someone working at GS found out and transfered out that moderator or included others more and probably had a good long talk with the one in question cuz out of nowhere that mod vanished form the PS3 forums, another of THE worst examples of fanboys being moderators is a moderator that is a little bit more aggressive in letting you know why the Wii and PS3 are crap and the 360 is "the king" and hell i am not talking about simple console preference I am taking about REAL inflammatory comments with the usual fanboy spin we have all seen so clearly here on N4G, those comments were worse when Halo 3 was going to be launched were that moderator yet again told us why Halo 3 was going to be the "bezt game eva" and the PS3 and Wii were crap in the funny part people that commented either innocently or angry about just how biased and incorrect many of those fanboys claims of the mod were or even asked if its OK to have such comments by a moderator got ALL modded some even got suspended later for questioning why there comments were moderated in the first place, then there are more simpler cases cases were mods that are suppose to keep an eye on comment sections moderate only A consoles fanboys and let the B or C fanboys keep on spamming its not all the common but you can notice it the second you find it yes see sadly for more that we want to pretend that people in high positions on gaming sites either be people that work there or are moderators are not fanboys and are the beacons of justice truth and real gaming there are MANY fanboys in there lines eager to abuse of there power because they are humans and fanboys are humans too and it will be foolish to pretend they are immune to being fanboys
