can somebody tell me if COD world at war is in Japan WW2 era or in Vietnam, through the war in vietnam, because in the trailer there was a guy with a flame thrower, and i dont think that was capable in WW2, just wondering

WWII buddy, flame throwers we're pretty common during WWII because it was more effect in flushing out enemys out of the bush, tunnels etc. its a totally differnt kinda warfare in the pacfic theatre than it was in the European theatre, thus specfic weapons were used to to get the job done.

Also, you got me thinking, Call of Duty: Vietnam.......why not? we skipped that era of warfare and went right to modern.

cod 4 OWNED, i think i may pass on the "world at war" version of cod for 2 reasons:
1) i dont like how the americans faught against the pacific countried during WW2
2) its back in WW2 --__-- how many game versions does one war need?

with that being said it will still probably be a great game, just not for me

thats respectable, I said it before, I think world at war will be more for the fans of the COD series and WWII FPS. Alot of people don't want to go back to WWII because its been done a 100 times, but I personally love WWII history, and to combine it with my love for games, i can't pass it up.

I did see a interveiw with a couple of the devlopers and they said the online part will be alot like cod4 but they are adding some of there own idea's.

hopefully they will take all the good bits from cod4 and impove on the bad bits.
