I'll put some pictures of the three I've lived in. Birth: Pontelandolfo, Benevento, Italy In order to understand these pictures, the city is literally built on the side of a mountain. It's at the far end of the Benevento province. Behind those mountain ranges is cliffs that overlook "il mare Adriatico". Contrary to belief, during winter, it gets cold like a mofo. Ok, this cylindrical building, I remember it was important, but I can't remember why. It was a fort of some sort and might have to do with the name of the city. All I know is that the village is named after a warrior who made his last stand here, hence the name: Pontelandolfo: Ponte Londolfo ---> The Point of Londolfo. It also marks the village square. I would compare it to...downtown? lawls, I was baptized here, but I don't think anything else special happened in this church. Marriages were usually held in Napoli and I've only been to one. My parents were married in another city as well. This is a grainy far away shot. I will see if I find something better... :( Not as grand...But it'll do. Too bad it's such a small city, there's not many pictures on the web about it, it's a really beautiful place and the air does not smell of crap. Second City: Montreal, Quebec, Canada Wow, just, what an amazing city this is. There's every combination of people possible to be found. Did I get culture shock? Yes, I never saw a black person until I saw Montreal. This also holds true for Arab people, the french language, and other things. I'm very thankful for living in Montreal which made me appreciate diversity because most of my friends are not Italian, but rather culturally diverse. I think the city is rather beautiful judging from these faraway shots. From these pictures, it's a little hard to tell, but the Island is actually a giant mountain that juts out of the ground. The Montreal observatory is a spot on this mountain that over looks the Montreal downtown area, and a picture of that can be seen below. Seen above is taken from the observatory. At the very bottom, that circular looking building is the McGill Mcntyre building where Med students, amongst others, Biochem, Pharmacology, and other health science classes are taken. If you wanted to rape me, this is where you could have found me but now I don't go there anymore. Last picture is of a snowy Montreal at night. Several bad memories of me taking the bus and walking in this freezing cold at night due to late classes haunt me. I hate the cold... and classes that are late. Currently: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada I'm new in this place. I don't have interesting stories or any knowledge of the place, but I think the parliamant is one good looking building. I've only seen the University where I will be living, and the downtown area. I think they're good looking buildings anyways, there's also something quirky about one of them that I think is pretty awesome. First: A solid half of my courses are in this building, it's the tech building where engineering takes place, but not only physics based. Bioinformatics, bioengineering, chemical engineering, etc. This is where I will learn to illegally build you N4G people cybernetic limbs as a favor. Second: Frigging shame the pictures are so small, this is the Bioscience building, the entire side of it is covered by the human genetic sequence patterns, which I think is awesome.
