I already posted my views on how to fix it in the original thread. For those who have missed it my views are:

3. Repeat offenders should be banned
4. If they come back they should be I.P. banned
5. Only certain members should be able to approve stories, members who have been proven to be unbiased

I've never ignored the problem, but when the problem it's addressed by a known fanboy as if you've never submitted flame articles from fanboy websites(you know which) and as if you were the second coming of unbiased submitting, then it turn into this.

I wouldn't have a problem with the thread if it was created by a REAL unbiased member with no intentions of feeding his little agenda from time to time.

Most people here know your intentions and while you do submit many good stories, you always find time to submit that one that suits you well for the sake of your inner fanboy.

Yes, that is a pretty effective solution. I also vote that we can see who agrees and disagrees in stories so when you have people agreeing to foolish things, you can see their true fanboy nature. I offcourse hardly ever agree or disagree.(i'm lazy like that

) so my ass is covered.

The only problem with your plan is too much power corrupts. If you live the power to approve stories into the hands of people like say bloodmask, it is only a matter of time till he abuses such power by approving stupid xboxkings articles about how MGS4 only runs at 720p

If I was a mod I'd shut this and the other thread down. There is no point in arguing about something that obviously can't be fixed. Why do I say obviously? Because I've seen this discussion before and I'm sure all the mods and admins have too and has this so called problem been addressed? No.

The outcome of these two threads is hatred between forum members and bringing main page villains to the forums. I'm out.

And I think the mods need to rethink their criteria for locking threads. In all honesty, the one Bloodmask created should have been as soon as it started declining, and this one should to, but not deleted, so people can still view the OP. Threads get unfairly locked here, but threads that deserve be locked to often go unresolved until someone makes a personal request.

I think the mod should be required to post in the thread, telling the OP why they're locking the thread, because I see little to no logic or reasoning by the mods as to why threads get locked here.

This doesn't go for all mods, by the way. The ones I know, do a fantastic job, and the site's far better because of them. It's just the damn stealth mod...

If the mods shut us down then they are sweeping the problem under the rug. The problem CAN be fixed. Just add more mods. include responsible people to clean up the site. I am sick and tired of seeing absolute trash being accepted as news.

Once i saw a news post titled. "Guy makes a good point about MGS4" and it was approved. Like WTF. It was just a link to some guy in a forum who made a little comment about how MGS4 will be awesome that was it. I could have told everyone that they didn't have to link to a random forum

Are you seriosly going to say that you've never submitted a biased story to cure the itch??? Or never approved a story which you knew was baised and would instatly turn into a flame war???  You really think I'm going to waste time looking a your or anybody stories??

This is why i find it hard to have sympathy for bloodmask. I really don't care about what he did but when he complains its annoying. Last time he was complaining about fanboys changing story titles to cause flame for some anti 360 article when about a week ago he approved an article that had title changed to cause flame but it was ok then offcourse because it was anti PS3
