also, it probally has somthing to due to more sales in North America and Asia, so these places are priority.

But I was under the impression that more PS3's have been sold in Europe than in either Japan or America, which makes this state of affairs even more complex.

I feel Sony has almost taken the European market for granted & is concentrating a lot more time & resources on trying to compete with the 360 in America.

Microsoft does really well in PAL territories, Sony is nearly as good these days but Nintendo still act like its the late 80s and they treat PAL like a backwater which is dominated by the Master System II

One can blame SCEE, I don't know if it has to do with localization. Europe is a very diverse continent when it comes to language variety.

EU is not a single market and none of EU states' PS3 sales surpass the US's or even Japan's so far. I think it takes more cost(such as localization cost, advertisement cost, marketing cost, operation cost) in EU than in US/Japan as a single market.
