If snake is the batman then her height shouldn't matter too much. I would absolutely love an MGS4 movie written by hayter and kojima given a producer seat. It would be simply beautiful. I don't think kojima can direct it but he should have a reasonable amount of creative control.

Hayter and kojima probably have the best idea of where MGS needs to go. If the guy that directs the batman movie (forgot his name) directs it i will cum all over the screen.

@swede, at least he isn't whining about fanboys

Here we have the openly gay man posting his interests as possible roles for Naked Snake. There's nothing wrong with that though, I respect that other thread, we should all accept the gender preferences of one another.

Yeah Snake's not that tall, true.

The choice also depends on whether we're talking Old or Solid.

Oh, and I think Gene Hackman would be fatastic as the colonel, he's a wonderful actor. And Sean Bean should be Liquid Snake, he's got the right accent and everything.

Unless the MGS movie is CGI, it is an autofail. There's no way to turn Metal Gear's absurd plot and cheesy characters into a good live action movie. If Christian Bale is smart, and he is, he should put as much distance between him and this movie as possible. At best, and we're talking miracles here, the Metal Gear movie will be as "good" as Resident Evil.

I don't think you can say much for its plot.

You've only played 4. It's not even enough to understand anything as far as I care.

You right, I've only played MGS4 so it was a culture shock. But I did read the Metal Gear Database so I know more about the backstory than you think. I will concede that there is a difference between reading about the plot in a database is different than experiencing it in a game. But, you don't experience movies, you watch them and MGS4 storyline is too cornball to be consumed by anyone other than the most hardcore of fanboys.

No, that's where you're wrong mate.

MGS3 would make an easy deal depending on how they pull it off. MGS1 could also make it.

MGS2 and 4 however, I agree with you. They won't work. People will just be like, WTF?

MGS3 is as straight forward as the series gets. It's more or less the beginning so there isn't any twisted backplot or triple-revelation at the end, aside from Ocelot's deal, which could easily be excluded in a film as it is not vital to the rest of the Snake Eater plotline (it is more relevant to later games and Ocelot's backstory).

MGS1 would work fine 2 would require some heavy cutting but if 1 is succesful they can fit 2 in there 3 would be the easiest to do and if they could do 4 why can't they do 1. I don't think it will be that hard. Not all the characters have to show and it doesn't have to be a verbatim copy of the game. I expect them to remove the cheesy boss characters like pretty much every boss character in 4 they can keep vamp and liquid though. I think MGS would make for a perfect movie just the boss battles would be hard to pull off. An MGS movie would be for the fans anyway so majourity of the people watching would get it

It depends on who's directing and how well they direct. Kojima is script writing no doubt, but it really depends on other people too.

That includes the choice of cast. I just hope they don't butcher it, I'd rather them not do it at all. But if any game can pull off a competent movie, this would be the one. Other games don't have interesting enough plotlines or characters.

Agreed. I vote christopher nolan for director. Kojima for story but not for script. Maybe kojima and hayter for script since they have worked on the series the most they have the best idea of where the series should go. I don't think a big cast in necessary. All they really need is a main dude and a villan everyone else can be a random actor. MGS1 story needs to come first then 2 then MGS3 yes MGS3 is the prequel but i just think it works best that way.

It won't be easy but nolan can pull it off.

I'd rather them not do a storyline straight from the games that involves MGS2.
