There's the reason why people are so unhappy now with Teryarch making next COD instead of IW.

Yes but what is so great about IW's CoD games?

As much as I like CoD4 and CoD2, not played CoD1 they were damn great games but they had alot of flaws and I mean alot. The support from IW is so awful, hell EA gives more support to its games than IW has ever done. Treyarch are a good developer and its been shown in Call of Duty 2: Big Red One which appeared on the Xbox and PS2, then there was Call of Duty 3, they had 8 months to make Call of Duty 3 and look at it, its still a fun and great game.

I just don't get the hate for this game, maybe there are so many IW fanboys here many not.

I definitly don't know about community matters of IW since I never play online but I still think they are a much better team. COD1 was a huge step forward for WW2 games. COD2 was great and COD4 was just excellent IMO. Not flawless but seriously well made with many neat multiplayer ideas that I didn't play with enough but even thje short singleplayer alone was really great.
Also, they are the team that put good effort into all 3 versions of the game (PC, PS3 and 360) and that's one of the reasons I respect them so much.

Treyarch made the abysmal Spiderman 3. Their COD3 was nothing but a graphically upgrade to COD2 and seriously, who wants to leave modern combat? Finally, their COD5 is coming to PS2, Wii and others, meaning this is a cash-in for Activision and no real next-gen game.
Real next-gen games are either Wii exclusive or PS360 / PC exclusive. Making a game for both Wii and PS360 is plain stupid. It prevents it from next-gen AI and physics on PS3 and 360 since level design and everything has to be shared while Wii version gets tacked on motion controls.

That's why all of last years games and even this years have been exclusive to either Wii or HD-consoles.

The PS3, 360 and PC version are being worked on by one team and the Wii, PS2 etc are being worked on by another team.

i hate seeing developers trash talking their colleagues or other games. it's unprofessional and they are all adults (yes, i left out the "mature")

i'm looking forward to CoD5 though but i've never been hyped for it or anything. BIA is the same deal. i'm not really into the WW scene.
R2 will most likely be the only FPS i get this year.

Well, the same happened with Spider-man 3. Treyarch worked on PC, PS3 and 360 ones while another worked on PS2 and Wii.

In the end they were all the same exact game with varying but high levels of crappiness.

I think the developers come regularly on N4G.

I judge games based on the final product, since what happens between devs has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of game I get. Or the quality gets better because they want to show each other up. Works for me.
