I swore to myself that I wouldnt purchase anything off ebay until I found a copy of Snatcher.  The prices on that game is ridiculous right now.

Back on subject.  I thought Tobal no. 1 was such a good looking fighter for it's time.... What was I thinking???

Speaking of Netlink, there's a forum community out there that actually come together with their Saturn's and Netlinks and play each other online, which I think is totally awesome.

I still need to get a Broadband Adapter for my DC

Lmfao my friend went online with Quake 3 on his DC like a year ago and said like one dude was STILL on it, and royally kicked my friend's ass. I was like "wth does he just wait there for a random person to join once a year?" and my friend's like "I don't know dude but I didn't get a single kill in". We need another VO now that we have dual analog sticks and more buttons, or they could just give us new twinsticks.

If SEGA released a Model 2 port of VO for XBLA or PSN I would be in heaven.

I find it hard to believe people think of Soul Calibur as the the first in the series
and oft forget the superior product that was Soul Blade/Soul Edge.

I still own Quake 3 arena for my DC.  The broadband adapter is extremely rare and hard to find, not to mention expensive now.  Sega should just release their whole damn Dreamcast/Saturn library with online features on PSN and XBLA.

As far as Vampire Saviour.. wasnt that DarkStalkers?  Wasnt a real big fan of DarkStalkers.

There is no greater fighting game than Sega's Holosseum.

I only wanted Tobal because I was a huge Toriyama fan back then, I actually imported Tobal 2 and regretted it. What about Star Gladiator and Battle Arena Toshinden? Virtua Fighter kicked off a crazy phenomenon back then like Street Fighter 2 did. OH OH motherf*cking Tech Romancer for Dreamcast. I was thinking about playing that game the other day, I just have to dig through my stuff to find it.

It was the second time Capcom lied to me on the back of a case, saying there was a full anime on the disc. No, there was a second opening movie. The first time they said the edit mode was in Rival Schools when it got taken out of every copy aside from the Japanese releases. Here I was playing the hell out of that game trying to figure out how to make my own chars and it wasn't even in there.

Aside from that though, Tech Romancer is the **** and a pretty good throwback to oldschool anime. On the TR note, we must never forget Cyberbots, that game was f*cking innovative back then also had Zero Gouki. I recall the arcade version looking far superior to the console games though with way better animation. Also, holy crap Bloodmask I didn't know Sega made a fighting game with that holo machine. The only game I ever saw running on it was that time travelling game where you played as the cowboy and it was like a live action Dragon's Lair/Space Ace.

Yeah it's Darkstalkers 3 actually. I only have the first two on Saturn and the Vampire Chronicles for PSP it's a B grade fighting game to me.

It's ok man, we all have our guilty pleasures. I loved the hell out of Ballz on the Genesis, so much that at one time I knew every single move in the damn game, how to counter it, all the finishers, and how to morph into the other characters. So glad my mom said no to me getting a 3DO so I could get the definitive version of the game.

I don't think age has anything to do with it. I can even appreciate Atari games. Warlords is awesome. Emulation is a wonderful thing.

I still have my Atari 2600 around here somewhere.  I even have E.T.  But the NES is as far back as I can go when it comes to enjoying some good games.  With the exception of Pitfall and Pac-Man, Atari games did not age well.

SNK vs Capcom: SVC Chaos is truly a great fighting game. I really liked seeing all of the SF characters redrawn with SNK's art style.

I tried my hardest to get into that game.  But the SNK style was too slow paced for me to adapt with the Street Fighter characters.  The first two were much better.

One game I was anticipating greatly for the SNES but never came out was FX Fighter.  It would have be the SNES counter to the Virtua Fighter series.
