They're not too hard to make either, once you get the hang of it. I made one, but it was crap. Anyone with a good idea or a bit of creativity could do it, with a set of instructions like the ones sonarus posted.

EDIT: And no problem, Whoooop!

To those who want to make their own theme, I would suggest you download this program.

http://jfblak.free.fr/FW2.0/theme%20p3t/logiciel/PS3TCv1.5.rar

This program is way easier than Sony's method.

How on earth does that work, do they track who's downloaded it? And if they do, how do they decide who gets in?

I don't care about Home, of course, I'm just wondering.

PSN ID obviously.

umm I guess its first come first serve, or just random picking.

That's what I meant, whether it was random or not. It's probably just random picking, though, I'd imagine a "first come first serve" thing would be over fairly quickly upon them releasing the content.

This is in my opinion the coolest Ps3 theme I have seen. I really love the backgrounds and the cool cool icons. They seem very detailed and great. Its my current theme by the way.

*falls of chair in surprise*

It's okay, but not the best one here. I prefer more simplistic, minimalistic, or artsy themes, although to be honest, I don't really like game-specific themes much at all, unless they're something amazing, like the ICO one.

I'll put that one on the list for you, though :)

That's really strange; the only time my themes have ever been reset involuntarily is if I reset the console by holding the power button down, resetting my display settings. If you were to make a thread asking about it, perhaps someone might be able to help you.
