And the difference there is that on the PS3 version as soon as you press play online you're in one lobby to yourself where you can invite any of your friends to your party. So..there is no such thing as shfiting through hundreds of them.
Okay, say for instance I'm playing CoD4, and someone wants to play a match of warhawk with me.  They can only message me about the game, they cannot just send an invite, and also, they have to waste time writing a message to anyone else they want to play with by the way instead of just a one click invite button like the 360 has.  But whatever, so he finally gets the message sent to me.  So, I read it, quit my game, pop in warhawk, go to buddies, and join his game.  It works, but its nowhere near seamless.  On the 360, I can just recieve an invite, quit my game, put in the other disc, and it will launch me straight to that lobby from the dashboard without having to go through all the menus.

Trust me, I'm not a 360 fanboy, as you probably think I am, but those are some damn good features that would improve psn waaaaayyy past xbl.

There;s always something the competition is doing that could better one side, but the fact of the matter is, people like you (although you're not shoving it down throats as much as others) are getting a huge update and are stiiiiiill complaining. You're talking about seamless, but if the 360 had Warhawk and in that same situation you and I stated, the person would have to still pop in the game. Only then would he be able to instantly join your game. The fact that instead of starting the game up and going to buddies and joining your game that way, he can press the button only after having the game in the system is not that big a deal. The PSN is ever expanding, more stuff will always be added. Fact of the matter is however, this is a greatly appreciated update, and complaining and acting as if Sony failed to deliver the goods cuz you can't insta vite your friend to a game or talk to them while you're both playing different games is ridiculous.

Here, read this. It shows what Sony is planning to do for all your "needs"

Wow you're right.  Well, they gave us mgs4, so we don't need any more games to come out.  It's a big game, so I mean I guess we don't need anymore.  God, thank you for introducing me to your flawless logic, I might have actually wanted more out of my system, thanks for saving me from myself.

That insta-join is important to ME, apparently not to you though, and thats fine, but don't bash the people who want things like that.

You're not getting it. Besides, Sony didnt make MGS4, but thats neither here nor there. If you want to try and use a ridiculously pointless argument such as that, I'd almost be forced to laugh. Almost.

All I'm saying is, yes you want this function, and hell there are some I want as well, but with what we've had lately, and what we're about to get now, and what they plan on getting out in the near future (If you even BOTHERED to read the link I gave you or any of my posts fully), there are a select few who are still complaining like spoiled children. Like Kuwabara said, it's baby steps. It's not like it's never coming out, it's just that with this update just around the corner, give it some time before they release a next one instead of making a forum post about " I want this and that and some of this"

Well, that is your logic that you keep telling me.  "Don't ask for more, we already have something big and we don't need anything else ever again",  thats what you are saying with your posts, and yes, I have read all of your posts, and I read that stupid FAQ sheet which is about as informative as kotaku.  That FAQ only says "evaluating" which means "we're not working on it, we're not thinking about it, and we probably won't do it unless a lot of people ask, but we are not entirely opposed to the idea".

Are you even reading my posts?  You still have not responded to the fact that complaining is good for a prouduct, because it makes it better.  Honestly, do you think if no one complained, we would even have firmware 2.40?  Answer that question, don't overlook it and ignore it.  Do you honestly believe that?  Because if you do, and you actually think sony gave us 2.40 to be nice, then you seriously need to re-evaluate your thought process about corporations.

Yeah, I can wait, but people NEED to complain if those things we are waiting for are ever going to change.  You are telling people to stop complaining, which is the same thing as telling people to stop progress, because if no one complained, sony would have no reason to improve anything they released.

Christ, I'll try it again. Yes I've been reading your post. Yes, letting them know what you want is good for a product. Everyone knows that. What I'm trying to say to you again, is that what is the point of whining on N4G forums about something that is actually stated to come ( And just because you have a cynical view of what evaluating is, doesn't mean everyone has a mind like yours). If you want to get on a complain brigade, make a petition, make a website, spam their mailboxes and make it known. But frankly, I'm gonna be sitting back enjoying this update because the features you're mentioning with the reasoning behind them show little purpose in my eye, but to each their own right? And no, my logic isn't "Don't ask for more, we dont need anything ever again" Look at them again, It's more along the lines of " You're complaining, you want those features. Congratulations. They said they'll bring them out in a future update. You're complaining might work on another medium, but I HIGHLY doubt they have any effect on this thread in this board, on this site." <----Thats my logic. Read it over if you need a refresher.

But I must say, you did manage to get me past my 50th post. I was hoping Sonarus would break that cherry.

Edit - Also, again, Id like to point to Kuwabara's point. Baby steps. The fact that they managed to bring this out and with more is a good thing, as it shows they are in fact listening to us. Not to mention that they're still working on the other things to ease people's complaints. And I use that word loosely.

Do you actually believe they care about you?  Just answer that.  And no, they did not say they are bringing it out in future update.  They did not even hint at it.  The evaluating post was a typical run of the mill PR response, just like we get all the time from companies when asked if this game is coming to this console etc.  And no, the point of this thread is not to bring the attention to those features to sony.  If you would have actually read all of my first post, you would have known that I was asking people to merely guess at when it will come out (if ever), and I backed that question up as to WHY I am asking it, I did not come here to start a petition, so theres some confusion here if you think thats what I was trying to do.

And if thats not your logic, try to make it a little bit clearer next time, because you did not say anything to imply or hint that future updates are needed or even at the very least accepted.

And as for Tempists post, I feel the same. At least, if he means that we just got a huge update with alot of features people wanted, and abunch of cool stuff added as well, why are people STILL complaining so soon even though the update hasnt even dropped yet. There's complaining, and then there's letting it be known that "Awesome update, hopefully in the next one so and so happens"
See? That quote "Awesome update, hopefully in the next one so and so happens" implies that thinking like that is a BAD thing, and does confirm that that is the logic you go by.  But whatever, I'll just ignore that as a mistake or typo.

Yeah, baby steps are how its supposed to go, I agree.  But your opinion of what a baby step is differs greatly of what mine is apparently, and whatever, that is just your opinion, just like my opinion is just that: an opinion.

your making a big deal out of nothing
if theres enouph demand for it, its going to come.
thats all there is too it
and why are you taking wildarms comments out of context?
they seem very resonable, why twist them into something like an attack?

Not if people listen to people like him.  And I'm not taking his comment out of context, since the only way to read his comment is as I have said before, because he gave no other ulterior motive before to believe that what I have repeatedly said wasn't  his logic.

And I'm not attacking him anymore than hes attacking people that want more features (change).

Look, You want more features, I'm pretty sure everyone gathered that sentiment long before this began. Who's attacking you for wanting more? That's fine, it happens. What I'm yet again stating is that complaining about it on this thread is pointless to the utmost level. If you think anyone at Sony is gonna be following your words to heart and think "Man, this guy, I want him happy!" Then you my friend are the one thats delusional.

Do I think they care about me personally? Hell no, they haven't even bought me dinner yet, and till then, that caring sentiment is nothing but a dream. Do I think they care about my money, yes. In fact, I think they care about it so much, that they'll be bringing out updates when they can appealing to the masses as much as possible, knowing full well theres gonna be a minority or so that's gonna hate something or want something even more.

I don't think what you're wanting is a bad thing, nor do I think thinking like that is a bad thing. Again, what's a bad and pointless thing is this thread about it. Yes, I've read your post. I'm exhausted at the thought reading them again and continuing this for that matter.  If you think I'm attacking you or people like you that want change (whatever it is you mean by that) then that's your perogative. You've stated your piece, and with this I've stated mine. I've read your first post and more importantly, your second one, it's whats compelled me to post back to you in the first place. You started out by being disappointed it took so long for 2.4 to come out, and yea  I agree with you on that, but at the same time, the fact that they managed to include Trophy support, to me, is good apology. Then in your second you started off by explaining why you wanted those specific functions that aren't here now, and I pointed out how they aren't exactly needed at this time considering you're still able to do them now, just by adding an extra step. Talking to your friends across games sounds cool and would be fun, but if you meant rl friends like you stated, a phone call works well.

Then your second half was more of an attack than Tempist was on you. From your first post,  I posted why I a greed with his first. It seemed like there's a never ending supply of people who will never be pleased, even before testing out the newest thing that just came out.  Then it went into all this and it's all unnecessary. Which actually leads me back to my point. All this? Unnecessary.

Of course it's unnecessary, but so is the comments section at n4g.  That still doesn't mean its pointless to discuss opinions just because they are unnecessary.
