I've always hated "perfect" superheroes... Superman was the biggest loser on the planet. The guy was always right, never faltered, never lost... Perfection, basically. Makes me glad that the Justice League Unlimited cartoon humanised him a bit (read: Beating the crap out of Captain Marvel). Every Superhero needs more than a physical weakness, they need emotional weaknesses too... They need personality traits that we can connect with, like a tendency to use their power for their own gain quite frequently.

After all, I dunno 'bout you, but if I had Hiro's power (from Heroes), I'd quite frequently stop time and rob a few shops blind for new TVs and stuff. WHILE helping to save the world, I might add.

You know, I think the problem I just can't take Will Smith seriously when it comes to films like this. Especially when there is a mature tone to it. I prefer to see him in comedy flicks.

Even so... The Thing will always drop anything to save anyone, and I've never heard of him ever using his power for personal gain (like the Human Torch, for example). What's to stop him breaking into a bank once in a while? As for Iron Man... Geeze... He's just weird. The film made no sense to me whatsoever... But even he doesn't seem to be able to use his suit to rob a liquor store or something. While he doesn't need to, 'cause of all his money, why doesn't he do SOMETHING self-serving for a change?

Superman was really the first big super hero. Superman returns didn't make any sense if your talking about that one because the kid would not have any super powers. If you want to go by superman movies watch the first three.

Why wouldn't the kid have powers?  He was superman's son.

He was but when superman had sex with lois he had gotten his powers taken away. If he didn't have any powers why does the kid have them. If superman has his powers and puts a load into that will kill her.

Superman 3 is not the most hatted comic book movie. To me it X-men 3 and the fanastic fours
