The fact is that these types of genres (comedies and horror) are the best way to turn in a quick profit. They will require very little to make and market, so they stand the best chance of making a profit. To do something else usually requires a risk, and we all know Hollywood is definately against that!

We made these. At least the people from overseas make good movies that are like this. We make crappy ones. Overseas they have Hott Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. Which i wouldn't really say they are parody's they are really homage.

Dude, remove Superhero Movie from that list. All of those films are my be the least talented people on earth (Worst than Uwe Boll) but Superhero Movie is at least watchable and has nothing to do with those crappy ones. It's from makers of Scray Movie and The Naked Gun.

As for why Hollywood is doing this, I think it's because all of these crappy films sold more a lot and were number one at box office (Except for Superhero Movie which was NOT made by the same a**holes that made Epic, Date, Disaster and Spartans Movie). Basically, if your film isn't fully god awful, it will win the box office. So as long as these pieces of sh*t sell, big H is gonna keep making them (Though I'm all for signing a petition to stop the idiot directors of Epic, Date and ...).

Sure isn't, it's out there and it won't go away. The same deal with reality shows, they offer a prize at a fraction of the cost it would have been to actually pay actors to turn in a decent performance. People then act like jackasses on tv, and the audiences lap it up while they create another one more insipid than the one prior. After that, the actual GOOD shows get canceled to make way for more "reality" tv. The only one worth watching now for me is 30 Days and that's because it's part documentary and very informative at times.

Flavor Flav, Shot at love with Tila Tequila, the Italian guy from Tila Tequila, I love New York, the Brad Michaels reality show, and a tons more. I can't stand them.

Children of Men does suck. No Halle Berry in skintights? Fail!

Seriously while I do agree that the Epic Movie series represents the worst of Hollywood, lets not confuse the fact that someone's taste in movies represents one's intelligence. Don't we gamers as a whole hate being stereotyped as a bunch of pimple faced child-adults who live in our parent's basement? I love horror movies, but that doesn't mean that all you need to do to entertain me is fill 90 minutes of screen time with blood,guts, and breasts.

One of my favorite movies is Requiem for a Dream, so what does that say about my intelligence from a movie goer who also enjoy a wide range of movies from Booty Call (Yes I like it!), Friday, Suspiria, Ichii the Killer, Perfect Blue, Irreversible, The Thing, Audition,Clockwork Orange,Repulsion, The Birds, 101 Dalmations, Man Bites Dog,etc?
