Status: offline 		Why would anyone want Gears of War on the PS3. Its out there for the PC, its out there for the 360. If you really wanted to play Gears then you should've played it by now. It really isn't that great and if another Gears of War game never see the light of day it'll be fine by me.

Well my current PC won't run it and even if I get a new one soon it won't be running any games for Windows. I don't own a 360 nor do I know anyone who owns one so there's really not much chance of me playing Gears unless I get a 360 or a sequel comes out for PS3. Of course I'd be reluctant to buy the thrid game in a series without having played the first two.

Well my 360 kraped out and I was not happy about putting money into a system that is going to keep failing... But I loved Gears of War it was nice and raw and gritty and I think it is a great move that a lot FPS fans will see less of those games and more and more 3rd person games....

So I would buy it for sure on the PS3 if the 3rd comes out for it which it should unless MS locks it up again...

Status: offline 		Having these games on more then one platform is good for the developers and publishers, meaning more money for them.  I will submit that that would also be good for gamers.  Look at it this way, a successful game from an established developer will make money, lots of money.  That money will, in turn, be put into development of even more (hopefully) successful games.  Personally, I wouldn't mind playing Gears on the PS3 (although with it being an MS exclusive for 1 and 2 it's a moot point anyway).  I just recently bought a 360 and only have a couple of games for it yet, plus buying a game that was previously an exclusive is generally a good deal.  The game tends to be loaded with extra content (ala map packs and such) that weren't available for the original release and a wee bit cheaper.  I say:  Go multi, and love it.

If they really have to, I wouldn't put it past them to stage a hostile takeover and just absorb the company and keep everything exclusive. Gears of War 3 (if they deem appropriate) and Mass Effect 2 are the most likely multiplatform movements... I honestly can't see it going any other way if Microsoft have contracts that bind Gears of War 2 to the 360.

As Polluted pointed out, as well, who'd be stupid enough to buy the third game in a trilogy without having played the first two? That's kinda like only watching the Matrix Revolutions or only playing .Hack//Quarantine... It's pointless and can actually detract from the game if it relies on prior knowledge.

I guess... But assuming that all the Gears of Wars games are going to be around 10 hours each, is there really enough time to recap over 20 hours worth of gameplay and story in one game? I think it's safer to say that people interested in Gears of War are going to stick to the 360 for it. I know I will. Mass Effect doesn't really concern me. I haven't played it, and I doubt I ever will.

Well...there isn't much story in GeOW to begin with so it won't be that hard.

Status: offline 		ME2 won't be as good on the PS3 as well cause they have to start new characters and try to get caught up on all that story, plus they don't get that added benifit of seeing what their choices have done.

I will enjoy my Shepard from the last game, and will continue playing in the same universe I created.
