yeah thats a good point....in the long run, as far as the life time of the console, you would probally be better off to wait for the new one. You wait a year, but you probally gety an extra 3 out of the slim model. but I don't think I would use a 360 for anything other than exclusives, my PS3 will kinda be the work horse of my media needs, so the current 360's might last me a while.

Buying a console late in its life cycle is awesome. I never bought a Gamecube until around a year before the current gen systems started hitting the market and I never had any trouble finding awesome games to play. I think if I had bought it early and it was my only system I would have been pissed because there wasn't much coming out for it.

So yaa, even if the new 360 isn't that far off, there should be plenty of 360 exclusives to keep everyone busy for a while.
