Bill's thought means you can get a home client for free but you have to pay to get a home in home?

Is it that hard to do a little research!?!?!? If you had been paying attention you would know that Home will be free however there will be fees for downloadable content. You'll get some resources to create your avatar and living space but there will be more content you can purchase IF YOU SO CHOOSE!

It has also been hinted that Sony will give incentives for trophies by offering unlockable content in home.

I'm sure my fellow PS3 owners have already covered this, but I couldn't help putting in my 2 cents.

"Home" will not be free.

What will be free is the ability to create a 3D avatar, walk around to various areas for shopping, visiting developer areas to preview games, things of that nature. But I'm strongly begining to believe that Sony will charge a fee to buy a "Home", and all the furnishings that you want in it. Sure if you want a bigger "Home" than, like in real life, it'll cost you a little more.

Maybe I'll find an abandoned "home", and make it my home sweet home.

I will choose being homeless. I'm a ps3 owner since last October and already got used to be homeless

I'm gonna live around here......

and my only purchase is a box

Anyway, Sony already has started a similar service free on PSN in Japan. why they charge a fee for home?

btw,  you changed your avatar, give up the hope?

Thanks Tips. How about some real news that people don't know about already.
We knew that Home was going to be similar to Second-Life and other life mimicking apps.

If you're concerned about the cost, just don't buy the crap. I doubt most people will. Also, I'm pretty sure I heard that stuff gets unlocked via trophies, which would be good if true. I'm really not that interested in it though. They should have got the basic features down first, before jumping straight into Home.

Yeah, This is true, and is called PLAYSTATION EDGE, u use trophies and accomplishments to get free/discounted items from the PSN store and PS3 Home.

Thank you. Finally someone understood. Let me know when you come across another one of those MGS boxes, I think I'm gonna need one too.

Looks like another hater jumped the gun too, or maybe I should've stated that the picture was not of my home. Not like it would've made a diference. So to clear things up, The picture is not of my home. It is meerly a picture taken from google image. Now be proud of yourself, you just increased the hater population by 1+.

I wont add you to the "hater" because you were not hating if it was, but the picture is taken from Google image.
-------------------------

I understand the whole concept of DLC for clothing, furnishings, home, and also maybe earning, but what I was trying to say was that Sony will be providing the basics (obviously) for the "home" environment. You know things like walking around malls checking things out, buying what you like, checking out all the adds, meeting other gamers and going to their home (if they have one) **** like that. But to actually walk into a place to call your "home" from day one? That is what I'm not so sure of anymore. I'm starting to suspect that one will need to purchase a home. I guessing around the $5-10 dollars range for the basic shack, and a little higher for the nicer ones. In all honesty they may very well hook us up with a little 12 x 12 room, (with no outlets lol) only to entice us to actually buy a "home".

Oh God, this hater list just keeps on growing. **** you know what, if one of you had a lived in a place like this and posted it, the LAST thing I would do is hate on it, or on you. Why? Because I DON'T GIVE A SH!T about the kind of place you live in. You premadonnas..
