I am sorry if this offends anyone, but THIS is what I BELIEVE to be true along with many other Christians as well:

NOTE: before any of you to call me a lier or try to debate me on Christianity, then you must first truly understand what Christianity is first.

1) Christianity IS NOT a religion, it is a RELATIONSHIP.

2) We did not come from monkeys or apes. I believe we were created out of the dust from the earth by GOD. The first man and women were Adam and Eve. And I believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation.

In John 14:6-7, Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well."

3) I believe everything that happens, happens for a reason.

I'll go with creation.GOD FTW!!!(He will send me to heaven for saying that, lol!)
I can't get evoloution,I mean many years ago some monkeis were bored by being monkey so they were like "hay pals,it's so boring to be a monkey and so low class, let's transform into humans, then we can make consoles so we won't be bored any more"!
look, evoloution means DNA of a few, very few percentage of monkeis changed over the time(It is something really rare) and they became human, right?so it most be something continious,we shoulsd found some half monkey half human creature at jungles
these days, right? It wasn't like when there was enough humans, monkeies stopped evolving?A human is far more complicated to be just an updated version of some monkeies.

And I don't know about you guys but I am sure my grandpas and grandmas were human!!!!!!!(SORRY,had to say it)

1. Please explain what makes it a relationship, not a religion,
2. What you believe hapenned is NOT a fact.  It is  BELIEF. Somebody's beliefs should not offend anyone, but try to explain what proves that this is what hapenned.
3. What does this do with the forum totpic? If it has relevance, I guess i do not understand it.
4. Quoting the Bible has no relevence.  To me, (opinion) it is a fictional book, written to make people believe they understand why they're here and how they got there.  It has as much relevence to me as quoting a novel.

Christianity is a religion or a cult whatever you want to call it

2. I dont know anyone that says we evolved from monkeys/apes

I believe in a mix of the two. One entity created the Earth via the "big bang"and that same entity causes us to evolve when needed.

I am a very religious guy but I do not listen to most of those religious extremists you see on television. I think they give Christianity a very horrible name.

Evolution.

Based on scientific observations and experiments, which is why I believe it. Creationism is illogical and impossible.

I'm willing to debate, to start I'll throw down some stuff:

- Even if Evolution is not the correct theory, that does not make Creationism right

- Evolution has been proven Evolution appears to be correct, just not proven to be the cause of existence of humans

- People being made from dust, then from a rib, and then mass reproducing through incest doesn't sound correct to me

At least for the sake of argument, if evolution was proven, it wouldn't still be a theory.

Yes, it is still a theory.  But to me, it seems MUCH. MUCH more logical.  Science is full of facts and truths, religion is pure speculation and beliefs.

everything in science is theory, so it can be proven wrong...that's day one biology class stuff.

I believe that the Trinity (The Father, the Son, The Holy Spirit) created everything in the Universe. When you really think about it actually makes a lot more sense that there is a creator.

The theory that everything just appeared randomly, and with a huge bang that came from Nowhere just doesn't make any sense to me. As a Christian I get into conversations about this with people from my church and those who have yet to saved by Jesus Christ.

I can dumb down stories as well :3

However, we both know this is incorrect. And we're not arguing the happening that was the Big Bang, we're arguing Evolution or Creation, granted one may lead to another, it's the process that lead to man we are discussing.

Incorrect. Science has Laws. Laws are undeniable proofs.

Examples:

Law of Conservation of Momentum
Newton's 3 Laws of Motion

Theories are things we can not prove, doesn't mean they can't be true though. For example, Gravity. It is a theory, but you'd get strange looks claiming that it's not true and we're constantly being pushed to the Earth by giant noodles. Though, by stating that you seem to argue that both are equally valid, however, one has more proof than the other. Which is why I believe in the giant noodles <3

This is my two cents in what I think creationism and evolutionism means.

Creationism - We are created by God or Buddha or whatever your beliefs are

Evolutionism - Life started after the Big Bang and we eventually evolved into Human

I'm with the evolutionism part. Where do you guys stand?
i compramised i believe in both... god (or something supernatural) created the universe and set it up to take form and shape and evolve on its own based on how it was setup.... basically i believe in evolution, but i find it hard to believe the universe just popped out of nowhere one day, it had to have a beginning, something created it.

Or perhaps something didn't create it? We can't prove it either way, but that doesn't mean we should leap for one because it's convenient and easier to believe, nor can we state it as fact.

you're Wrong...

"The laws of science are various established scientific laws, or physical laws as they are sometimes called, that are considered universal and invariable facts of the physical world. Laws of science may, however, be disproved if new facts or evidence contradicts them. A "law" differs from hypotheses, theories, postulates, principles, etc., in that a law is an analytic statement, usually with an empirically determined constant. A theory may contain a set of laws, or a theory may be implied from an empirically determined law." - Wiki

we had a week long disscussion on this in my biology class last semester, i payed attention

I too believe in a Creator; whether its what I believe as a Creator (catholic, God, Jesus) or its something else, I don't know.  But I do beleive in evolution; its odd, but I believe in both religion and science.  Why couldnt a Creator create everything and we evolved from the original creations, the universe, etc.  I believe science and religion can go hand in hand in the end.

and to the above comment; you are sort of right, but it depends on the context.  For example, a law in physics must be something proven, or something that occurs constantly (similar to your explanation), and a theory in physics does not have any empirical evidence, proof.. it doesn't mean it isn't true, it just means that we don't have a way of testing it out yet to know if its true.  For example a black hole; strong reasons show it exists, but there is no way of us actually proving it yet, so it is usually labeled a theory.  It just depends on the context, but you're right.
