yeah it is doing something new, and the game looks sweet, but how does it take the grims in R2 to the next level? i saw more enemies on screen on resistance 2 than left for dead.

You guys are both making valid points. Yes its true both systems dont have great line ups the xbox 360s is slightly better though. For people like me that will get to enjoy the best of both sides this is fine because the two lineups combined make for a great year of gaming :). Also left 4 dead has way way more enemies on screen than that r2 video I saw. L4d should be a fun game hope both consoles get it so the fans can enjoy it.

What vids are you watching. There were more enemies on screen in R2 at least from the vids i have seen and yes it looks like it can get very repetitive. L4D looks like a game with a very weak story structure but you just throw 4 guys in to battle some enemy A.I. controlled zombies. Sure it would be fun for like a first play thru but from what i can see, it does look like it can get repetitive. I heard there will be multiplayer of people vs zombies...sigh we all know that **** never works

From where i am standing left for dead looks decent but nothing more

Sonarus look for any negative preview of l4d.I bet you wont find one. The gaming press is amazed by the sheer amount of fun this game is. I remember seeing the pc gamer preview a while back and the pc gamer guys seemed so excited when actually playing the game.

Lol show me an "amazed" preview. Like i said, game is decent but i would like to see an "amazed preivew" preferably from a non xbox affiliated site along the lines of xbox kings.

But seriously, everyone is side stepping this, show me the video where left for dead has more enemies on screen than R2 vid i posted a few weeks back. SHOW ME.

Also if we are going by previews, check out gamepro preview of resistance better than HALO bigger than call of duty lolz

How the hell are you going to straight up judge a game by previews. If you look hard enough you will find a good preview of too human from a couple of months back before people actually started playing lolz

In fact I think you did something worse you judged the game with no valid information on it. You saw the game and immediately put a label on it regardless of its potential or professional opinion.
Its quite alright though everyone is entitled to their opinion as am I first time I saw a Res 2 gameplay video I saw resistance 1 with a different lighting system. I immediately put a crap label on it since I though the first one as absolute crap.

The other link would have merit if the site wasn't left4dead411.com lol. That is almost as ludicrous as getting sony defense force to preview killzone 2. Find me a preview from a neutral source that screams that amazing socomnick i'm counting on you.

I didn't judge the game on a preview i judged the game on my own opinion not off the opinions of someone else. From the videos i have seen game looks decent but no amazing. IGN didn't seem amazed so far all you have is left4dead site being amazed.

I thought GeOW2 had more "dumb" enemies on screen, if that counts. But, Resistance 2, even with the lesser graphics of the two, looks more impressive, in my opinion. Just more fun to play. But, I don't know if I'll be buying any FPS this year.

That was my point exactly. Gears did many enemies on screen and everyone was like OMG 100 enemies on screen gears greatest ever. Like they didn't notice how retarded the 100 enemies looked. As for now R2 has the most enemies on screen done right. All with excellent animation and not just bumping into each other looking retarded. I am sure it has been done better before but certainly not by gears 2 and until i see those enemies that surpass resistance enemies then not by left4dead either

Ok i'll be waiting for that video. I just watched the 6min one off game trailers and from what i have seen, it wasn't even close but hopefully. Maybe i didn't read kotaku preview right but it certainly didn't seem like they were amazed. In fact the only part where they were amazed were with the graphics which sort of makes sense being a pc title and all. Unfortunately, i don't find the graphics "amazing" at all

I know I'm just hating here, but 100 enemies all running in the same direction and not even reacting to gunfire isn't very amazing at all. I believe I've seen far more impressive setpieces in last-gen games, or even before that.

Funnily enough, GeOW2 doesn't even seem to be recieving that much hype on this site (from the gamers).
