I'm a women and I've always played games

the problem is those in charge are not gamers, they are the middle/upper class uni grads brought up thinking all gamers are nerdy sad males, they like safe bets and also try to open up new markets, according to statistics accross all platforms 40% of gamers are women (most of that is on PC) but instead of leaving it like that or posibly increasing the amount of just plan good games suitable for all (SOTC, Okami SSBB) they want to make targetted games for each part of the market which ends up alienating people.

example: Imagin Babies. As a women I fund such games insulting and find the whole disintergration into the new pigeon holes of games for girls, games for kids and games for boys etc really stupid, If the reason PC is where most girls are is because of say point and click games then they should make more pure and simple, not try to think (in there male minds) what a women would want in a point and click and make it all pink and about fashion shows. that really pisses me off

anyway I can't see MS dying, you would need an equal alternative and there isn't one, Due to the whole point of linux/unix (open source) there will always be a range of 100's of distro's made by people and companies far smaller then MS, the ludites would never bother with such complycations and Apple are no better then MS so will offer no alternative worth having.
