So lets see, no Pikmen, no Zelda, no mario?

God at lets Microsoft's E3 conference wasn't this bad, this was just plain awful and for gods sake why was she wasting time talking about snowboarding with her son, I seriously don't give a crap just show me them games. Oh well, heres the stuff I got from Nintendo's conference for those who have not watched it:

Shaun White Snow Boarding - Wii Exclusive and uses the Wii balance board

Animal Crossing City Folk - Wii exclusive coming 2008 also includes Wii Speak and online mutiplayer

Estimated 100 million DS systems sold by the fiscal March 2009

Star Wars The Clone Wars - coming holiday 2008 for the Wii

Raymen Raving Rabbits - Uses Wii balance board and is coming out in Fall 2008

Call of Duty World At War - Co-op mode included

Guitar Hero On Tour Decades - For the Nintendo DS - New feature included which allows people to share songs from different version of the Guitar game for the DS

Spore Creatures for the Nintendo DS

Pokemon Rangers Shadows - Another Nintendo DS game

Grand Theft Auto Chinatown - For the Nintendo DS - Set in Liberty City, new engine used built from the ground up for the DS, sandbox experience and mutiplayer

Cooking Mama DS - UK version coming November 2008

Wii Sports Resort - Coming worldwide in Spring 2009

Wii Motion Plus - make movement more accurate, better etc

Wii Music - Over 50 different instruments, uses nuchuck, Wii mote and Wii balance board.

Well I decided to watch the whole thing through (IGN) before making a comment.

It was bad conference in my opinion, I hated that women who was presenting for what seemed like far to long. It was like she was addressing an audience of 5 year olds and not professional industry journalists.

They mentioned the teams develop Mario & Zelda games were 'hard at work' - I thought this might lead to something, however nothing came, at least not on these two franchises.

There was also no announcement of any storage solution for the Wii, which leads me to believe nothing will come.

There were a lot of sales numbers, which are all very well and good, but there was nothing there to really get the blood racing.

I really couldn’t believe it when they actually ended; I had thought they were saving something big for the very end. But it wasn’t to be, I hope more Nintendo announcements are forthcoming. However it’s now soon time to see what Sony have to offer...

Well...Now the dust is settling and my reaction has changed slightly...I not now in shock...I sort of have a kind of attitude of what did we expect...the show followed the same kinda format as last years...with the final title being the next Wii ...... title.

We had Animal Crossing which despite its now casual reputation was a hardcore title originally...can't imagine many casuals picking up a freeloader to play a gamecube port of an N64 game called Animal Forest. It looks great and they added everything I could possibly want I think, keeping the villiage setting but adding a city was the way forward as I for one did not want to lose leaving in that close knit villiage.

Wii Sports Resort, even looks half decent. I just hope we get more in the way of competitive professional sports as well as the fun holiday kinda sports.

Wii Music perhaps a bit lame if no matter what you do the song does play in one form or another... Did kinda like the drum tutor idea though.

GTA DS then hey? Well I will wait to see how that folds out....could be interesting how will it shape up compared to the PSP versions I wonder.

Finally where was the Kid Icarus game that IGN have been saying was in the bag months ago...oh yeah what it wasn't there.

I now feel fully justified in buying my PS3 a few months ago as a companion to my Wii as they are the only company still activily chasing the hardcore whilst still offering to the casual masses in some form. Rather than aspiring to the casual like the other 2.
