Dude i actually just needed money. PS3 is my least played system. I was going to sell the N64 + games but I changed my mind.

plus PS3 doesn't have the JRPGs I bought it for. Resistance 3 is meh I wont want it then anyway.

Who's telling you anything?

If you didn't enjoy it that's ok with everyone. Everyone has their own taste and likes. If the PS3 had no games that appealed to me, I would have sold it already too.

It was close but I wanted to keep Sin and Punishment for N64 more than LBP.

The whole multiple disk thing is something fanboys use as ammo because it gives them a hard-on.

or maybe it makes 360 fanboys impotent.

Sorry buddy... but using last gen tech on this gen hardware was just plain stupid.  the sooner you realize that, the sooner you can get it back up when you hear multiple discs.  I just dont understand why you'd want downgraded compressed media

Actually they use compression even on Blu-ray. Uncompressed audio and all of the cutscene footage for MGS4 would take up way too much space without compression. Not to mention the load times would be horrendous.

Once again multiple disks is something that fanboys use as an excuse to get a hard-on.

You do realize all the game installs for the PS3 are because the read speed on the Blu-ray drive is only 2X don't you? There is no other reason for it. Streaming from the HDD is a lot faster than the disc access.

They did compress the cut-scenes on Blu-ray and it was visible. So does that mean it can only be much worse
without multiple discs. Wasn't that what the HDD was intended for?

You sir is a genius,by the way what about UNCHARTED loading Vs lost odyese loding???

UNCHARTED on the slower disk, and no install and loading free, lost odyese....well...

    Round 1

    FIGHT!

I don't think MGS4 will ever come out for the 360. But I have PS3 so I really don't care. All Konami would have to do is drop the resolution on the cutscenes and they could save a ton of disk space.

As far as the HDD usage on PS3. I think it is pretty obvious that it is used to cut down load times. In smaller games like Oblivion they used to use data duplication to increase load times bc the disc read speed was too slow on BD.

Some programmers can get around it though. Like Uncharted. They can be loading upcoming things while you are still playing. It all depends on the engine they are using.

If one more time someone mention to duplicated files i'll kill

It was just on some of the first PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) games, now even 3rd rate devs learned their lesson.
