I believe so, but in the end, sony wont release a game thats not ready. They've said release dates in the past and the games have been delayed, so i believe sony wont be releasing specific release dates until their sure the game will beable to be released at that time. Its to early to say that those games will forsure release in the fall or whenever, sony has plans on when it will release the games, but there not set in stone.

You know what won't be in the Sony Presser?

A Halo game.

So hence anything they do is insignificant

The problem with this is we have no idea if it's game related, or hardware related. Could be very interesting. I think Sony is pissed about FF going multiconsole so something big maybe?

After seeing how Sony's going this time around, I doubt they give the slightest crap about losing an RPG.
They'd be uber-pissed if it was an FPS, though.

Remember how they worked to secure that awesome FPS, Haze?
Yeah..'nuff said.

Amen to that.

There's hardly anything worthwhile [in terms of RPGs] on the system.
It's freaaaaakin' ridiculous.

Sonymote will be quite rubbish. But I hope Microsoft and Sony do do that, becuase then all those Wii games that are coming that people like, the pbulishers will have to share on bigger platforms. Becuase the Wii's audience won't buy that stuff.

the announcements could be anything, but my guesses would be (in no particular order)

1) Reveal of Naughty Dog's next game (maybe Uncharted 2; likely, maybe Jak PS3, about 50/50)
2) Heavy Rain finally shown in playable form
3) Release date for Home finally given
4) Ninja Theories new game may be announced.
5) speaking of Ninja Theory, Sony reveals that Heavenly Sword 2 will be developed by Sony Cambridge (who have been helping with Killzone 2 as of late, but that game is practically finished, and is being polished up by GG)
6) more developer friendly tools and initiatives highlighted
7) more services relating to PSP/PS3 connectivity.
8) showing off what SCE London has been up to
9) surprise IP
10) surprise IP
11) surprise IP
12) Incognito announces their new IP outside of Warhawk

as for what Japan Studios and Team Ico are up to, i imagine Sony will save those for the Tokyo Game Show. it's a lot of time and money to fly out all of your first and second party partners to Leipzig to show off their games. Tokyo is more convenient, and unlike MS, Sony doesn't throw all of their big announcements into one event. when you have 30 first and second party developers working away on exclusive PS3 titles, it's just not economical. pacing and timing is everything.
