If you're utilizing their maximum storage optential, you can't make a game on a CD look as good as a game on a DVD. Compression of textures, audio, and video will all degrade the experience. No amount of RAM, CPU, or GPU power will change this. However, using multiple CDs would negate the storage issue. This was true of the last format generation, and it is true of this format generation. For Blu-ray to really have an impact on the graphical quality of games, the game in question would need to use a tremendous amount of space. That just doesn't seem to be happening this generation. Even if it did, the format wouldn't really matter, because you could simply use multiple disks to counter the storage issue.
