I always get choked up when I play the original Super Mario Bros. when I defeat Bowser only to find out the Princess is in another castle.

Kingdom Hearts, final scene.
FPSes usually piss me off any time I know my shots should've killed an enemy, but for SOME ****in' reason, he ends up killing me instead. And no..it's not lag on my end.
Also..SoTC.....when you're going to face the final colossi.

Oh and..Resident Evil 3: Nemesis scared the hell outta me with one particular scene.

*POSSSSSSSIBLE SPOILERS*
You're walking down an empty hallway, and you reach a dead end (or you pick up some items, I forget =\). You start back-tracking, and as you're coming back, Nemesis just breaks in through a window in the hallway, coming up right in front of you.

And err..I think ANY self-respecting gamer gets angry when they lose.

Edit: Bloodmask....nice one. Lmao.

I'm still awaiting the day when a game makes me cry like only Schindler's List could, but I got pretty emotional in Heavenly Sword, MGS4, SotC and somehow even Final Fantasy X.

If suicide is a valid emotion than Transformers: The Game and HAZE had me VERY very emotional.

On a serious note, horror games tend to actually scare the **** out of me, i get too onto it I guess. It's always great to shriek like a schoolgirl in front of your friends, Try it sometime!

The Darkness, while not exactly a good shooter, had a really good story. It had one significant twist toward the middle that shocked and horrified me. I spent the rest of the game really determined to see it through because of what happened...I've never had a game story motivate me so much to complete it.

EDIT: Almost forgot...Heavenly Sword also had a similar effect on me. I've never wanted to kill a boss more than Flying Fox after what happened to Kai.

As mediocre a game as the Darkness was I have to agree the spoiler you're referencing was pretty motivating.

OFF-TOPIC: Flying fox was one of the best characters I've seen in a game. I've been trying to re-create the laugh ever since. (unsuccessfully of course)

I get emotional when playing old games. It's the nostalgia. King's Quest, Hero's Quest, Larry, Monkey Island etc.

I'm sure years of hard drug use are probably required. ;)

Meresin and Dont Panic...you guys are right.  the Darkness was a Damn good game.  Excellent, excellent writing and good visuals.  I love converting to the serpent for a devastating heart lunch.

Just hearing the original SMB music puts me in a better mood, and actually makes me act like a goofball a bit.

Bioshock had me trembling in fear. I don't know why, but that game is scary as hell.

Yes. This happened.

Oh..sorry.  This thread is a clone guys?

What I actually meant was that game actually had that effect on me.

Final Fantasy 7,Kingdom Hearts 2 and Shadow of the Colossus.

Otherwise,it is either a sentiment of great frustration when I see the 'Game Over' screen or one of deep elation when I win.

LittleBigPlanet could get to me, who knows?

I mean, I recently played through Sonic Adventure on the DC again, and I felt sort of sad at the end of E-102 Gamma's story... poor guy.
